Looking forward to the final against Utd.
Any game against them is a good event.

Such a naive thing to say, Emery knows our squad just as much a Arteta, while also having a point to prove so he’ll be extra motivated

Don’t forget he’s a specialist in this competition, he’s a 3 time winner, made it to the final with us and currently on the way to possible 5th final.

Last but not least theirs no such thing as an easy game when it comes to Arsenal, 10/11 carling cup final against relegated Birmingham, 12/13 we go out in the semi final of carling cup against league two Bradford side, last year we got knocked out of this competition by Olympiacos. I could go on forever by now with examples, if you’ve supported Arsenal long enough you should know these are the ones to worry about just as much as the big games.

Very true, well said, Emery, will be looking to give us pay back big time this is a bigger game than if we had United to play in the semis, if we are not together on this we will lose.

We will progress if the manager and the players have the right mindset. This has to be about winning Europa, and not 'proving' something v Emery.

"First of all, I'm used to meeting ex-teams so playing Arsenal, where I coached, is nothing new as an experience," said Emery.

"This is Villarreal's fifth semi-final in Europe and, personally as a coach, it'll be my sixth across Sevilla, Arsenal, Valencia and now here. It shows we are capable, it makes us proud but I re-emphasise that we have to 'feel' the experience. We really need to go out and enjoy it."

Arteta should do the same. Laca and Auba have been here before. Laca scored v Atletico and Valencia, Auba had a hattrick. Valencia 2019 was better than Villareal 2021.

Who cares what 'Good Ebening' is looking for? He has a rubbish team that we should easily beat.
Is it possible we could lose? Sure... just like its possible to lose against any team in a cup game, but over two legs it is even less likely.

Just get ready for the final against Man Utd.

Yeah pretty much confirmed you know nothing about it.

We're below West Ham who aren't as good as Villarreal

Lol,

West Ham are light years ahead of Villareal.
The Spanish league is 3 teams with a pile of horse shit making up the rest of it.

Spanish league...

Weren't you the idiot who was bigging up Slavia Prague? :naughty:

So we are going into the semi final without our best CB (Luiz), best LB (KT) and best CF (Lacazette), the run was nice while it lasted but it’s looking more likely we will be on the losing side, not that I fancied us against United in a final

This was the back line v Valencia:

AMN - Mustafi - Sokratis - Kolasinac

Ramsey, Holding and Bellerin were all injured. We're no stranger to injuries happening at inopportune moments. It's not an excuse.

This is exactly why I maintain that this competition is important for us at this stage.

Could you imagine with results like today if all we had left was the Premier league?

If all we had to gain from this season was a few draws to relegation fodder, losses and a hit to our integrity?

God help us.
