Another sideways pass master isn't needed
I don’t know what to make of this one, seems creative but on the other hand he hasn’t played for Portugal and we signed Tavares from there and he was unknown.
Anyway strange one, wouldn’t have been a priority, hopefully we’ll get some others.
Yeah the not playing for Portugal is a weird one.
At 22 you'd expect some caps.
If he helps creativity and boy does it need help then great.
Striker needed now
Pires was 9 months older when he made his international debut
Gilberto was 24
Lehmann was 28
different times and those players played for stacked countries filled with ridiculous players.
im not saying this guy is bad[not a kid] but certainly a lot of questions and possibly red flags so far.
They played on a green pitch with a ball and 2 goals
These criticisms should come with facts and a heavy heart not bandied about casually it’s us v them not us v us
Too many fans forget this
Support when you can
Portugal won euro 16 so not some little backwater
Whilst we can all agree that support is a requirement of being a fan, we still need to challenge things that are failing. I believe even the most ardent Wengerite would concede that we supported him for too long, we have stuck by players on massive salaries who ended up pissing on us, and for six years we've lived with a rebuilding / process / project youth all the while seeing our rivals improve.
At some point we need to accept that, what doesn't work simply doesn't work. When City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs finish top four by appointing the best and most experienced managers available - maybe we should think about that. When City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs finish top four each with >300m invested in their strikers and looking for more - maybe we should think about that. When City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs base their defence on 2/3 defensive midfield players and three/four solid centre backs - maybe we should think about that.
Sure there's the "Arsenal Way" and sure we support that - but there is also reality, if you cant beat 'em join 'em - Spurs did, Newcastle and Everton are now trying .... can we really afford to keep dropping further behind?
