Are we paying £34m for a Saka backup?

His agent is Jorge Mendes, who also helped negotiate the Pepe deal (Pepe has a different agent). Edu about to be taken for a ride again.

Hearing very good things, so not unhappy. My one issue is that he appears to be an attacking mid, and we were ok there with Odegaard and ESR. Give me a Xhaka replacement pls, and preferably not Tielemans.

We need 2 quality forwards not another CM nobody's heard of.

He's not even a CM. He's a 10 but can LW apparently. So if he's a starter, he's blocking Odegaard, Martinelli or Smith Rowe unless we plan on moving someone to a new position to fill either the CM or Striker position.

Looks too lightweight to play central unless he plays very advanced, like in the Bergkamp role.

Looks lighter than Odegaard.

Skills are fine but we all know where we need the signings, I mean we have Martinelli, Smith-Rowe, Saka, Pepe (who's still on the books), Odegaard ........ all of whom can play wide / no10.

I mean we've basically bought someone to bench someone ....... while we have two to three spots which actually need a 1st choice player.

LB (sub or starter)
CF (Could use two)
CM

......... but we go out and get a Winger / Attacking Mid?

Very odd signing, hasn’t even played for Portugal yet.

This has come out of blue, not sure what to make of it, is this a position we even need?

If he can cover more than one forward position, and do it well, then he's not a bad signing

I do wonder where this leaves ESR though

Hi everyone, hope all of you are doing well. As someone who watches a lot of the Portuguese league, I wanted to provide some insight into new signing Fabio Vieira. Alongside his team mates Otavio and Vitinha, he’s an incredible talent and someone Liverpool’s highly successful scouting network have been following closely for the last 12 months. I’d love to hear your thoughts and am happy to answer any questions you may have in mind. Very exciting move which all Arsenal supporters should be excited above.

HE PLAYS FOR ARSENAL.

The only logic i can see behind this move is if Odegaard stops being a pussyhole and develops into the CM we need next to Partey or we do a 433 with both just ahead of Partey.

He isnt necessarily what we need but hes talented so the potential is there.

Or just drop Odegaard all together if he can't cut it as a CM and this kid turns out to be the more effective 10.

[Starmandb]Squad is God[/starmandb]

Signing this guy and Tielemans and suddenly we are creating alot more goals and we have options to rotate/cover for injuries.

I am just happy we are bringing in quality players to raise the squad level.

Underwhelming but let's see what he can do

Another sideways pass master isn't needed

I do wonder where this leaves ESR though

I think the signing, if it happens, cements ESR as a wide forward. Makes sense tbf as ESR seems to score more than he creates
