In what world would Arsenal let Tottenham host their title parade at the Emirates?

Come on, you know I wasn't referring to the official parade as such but yes, I should have said celebration instead, forgive my mistake, it was born of despondency.

Not sure why this is an unpopular opinion. This year will be our 17th consecutive season without the title. so we're already more than halfway there. Our chances of winning the league in the next 13 years look very unlikely considering how the club is and has been run for years.

Didn’t look likely in 75/76 when we finished 17th

It didn't, and we didn't win the league for 13 years after that.

It didn’t look likely in 94/95 either
Worst home season I have ever seen and 38 points behind Blackburn.
Double winners 3 years later

Mari will be a top CB.

Yes him scoring just now helps but I think people always slag this signing and I don't get why. He didn't concede a goal in his 3 games before he got injured.

And that makes him a bad player?

7m for a guy who looked solid albeit briefly, isn't a bad deal.

Even if he’s good enough it won’t work, two predominantly left footed centre backs never work, you can get away with it in a 3 but not a 4

Agree so he'll have to be backup to Gabriel but doubt he's gonna get too big for his boots anytime soon and with our injury record they can both play enough games.

Teams play with two right footers all the time, why wouldn't two left footers work?
Raya/Ramsdale
White/Tomiyasu--Saliba/Timber--Gabriel/Kiwior--???/Zinchenko
???/Jorginho
Odegaard/Smith Rowe----Rice/???
Saka/Jesus-------------------Martinelli/Trossard

As I said in the Mari thread it’s fairly simple really usually if a team has two right footers the guy playing left centre back is usually comfortable tackling/passing with their left foot like Luiz or Koscielny did previously for us.

Now when it comes to Mari and Gabriel or 99% of left footed players for that matter they are always reluctant to use their right foot because they don’t feel comfortable. In an emergency situation if one them were playing RCB and they were forced to user their right foot for tackle or pass/clearance it could lead to an error such as missing the tackle or a sloppy clearance/pass, all of which could lead to opposition goals.

Anyone opposition manager would easily exploit this by telling the winger/centre forward to dribble through at the defenders right side, make runs through their right side and last but not least when pressing them force them onto their weaker foot.

It’s a about balance at the end of the day which we have no need to make things harder for ourselves, if we have to use both of them it should only be in an emergency situation. Theirs reason why no top side has ever done this long term and it’s not just because most players are right footed but it’s just that it’s not ideal.
