What a coup getting Santi was at the time. Unfortunately at the time Wenger just couldn't get things right, there was always something missing, like ... you have milk, but no cereal, you have weed but no rizla, you have accommodation but no flight.

Osimhen would be a waste of money, old school centre forward with good pace, strength and finishing.

For our system we need someone more well rounded like Toney aside from the finishing and strength, he’s got the technical ability and passing which is key to keeping the likes of Martinelli/Saka/Odegaard scoring well.

I've been watching some of Gyokeres matches and I kinda think he'd be the better fit than Osimhen now. VO would be a star here but perhaps not the attitude we need in the club. Gyokeres, on the other hand, has the tekkers to play a false 9 but also the size and strength to be a leading man. We'll have to pay a ludicrous premium considering he was dominating the Championship just last season.

1998 Double team was better than the Invincibles.

Fans overhype Tierney. he's an OK LB but not this beast fans make him out to be.

Fans who call Xhaka a legend should be forced to support Tottenham. He only looked good in 22/23 since Arteta finally found a system that catered to his strengths as a regista. Wenger and Emery couldn't. And he most likely had a clause in his contract that he had to play most games, nay every game. That's speculation but then a player seldom is that average and still gets picked.

George Graham deserves a statue at the club. Yes, he managed Spurs but then he made us great again.

The stadium is too small. Make it 70k. if TfL, Islington Council, or Mayor Khan, or even the Westminster government whine, then take out a loan to finance the enlarging of Arsenal or Hollyway Road tube stations. It's moneythat can be paid back in time. Islington Council shouldn't object since having 60k fans every fortnight in their jurisdiction is surely good for the economy, and we're a major brand they should be proud of having in their area.

Ufff - interesting, lets compare:

1998 double winners:

Seaman
Dixon - Adams - Bould/Keown - Winterburn
Parlour/Platt - Vieira - Petit/Grimandi - Overmars
Anelka/Wright - Bergkamp

Invincibles:

Lehmann
Lauren - Toure - Campbell/Cygan - Cole
Ljungberg/Parlour - Vieira - Gilberto - Edu
Henry - Bergkamp/Wiltord

Man I dunno .......

In terms of players I think maybe yes, the double team of 98 was better - have to remember also that Bergkamp was at the peak of his powers then too.
I don't think I have ever seen a player live that reached Bergkamps levels that season - in any position.

Yes, tough call between the teams. Both had big time game changers.
But the 98 team won w/ 77-78(?)pts vs 90 for the Invincibles. So imagine the level of competition in 98.

I think it is the difference between 'team' and 'players'.
97/98 was still very early in Wenger's reign.
By the Invincibles era the team was at its peak Wenger period and full of confidence.

Personally, I'd take the defense of 98 with the attack of 04

1998, and 2002 of course, won two trophies. 2004 won one. On that count alone, it was better.
