Jens Lehmann says his goalkeeping rivals at Arsenal will have to wait before getting their hands on the number one jersey in North London.
The German is in the veteran stage of his career and Gunners chief Arsene Wenger has moved to bring in a younger rival by signing rising Polish star Lukasz Fabianski.
With Manuel Almunia also on the books at Emirates Stadium, Wenger has plenty of options at his disposal.
However, Lehmann is convinced he will be the number one next term provided he remains free of injury.
"I am never certain of being number one keeper at Arsenal, but provided I am fit and have no distractions in my private life, the other keepers cannot hold a candle to me in terms of my experience and ability," Lehmann is quoted as saying in the Sunday Mirror.
