Terrible news, maybe it’s to make room for Partey, Aouar and Messi?

Is this some stupid shit this club pulls off to save money?

Arsenal is really redefining the term pettiness these days.

I don't know the exact number, but can recall hearing that pre-COVID Arsenal had in excess of 1300 employees. That's nearly twice as much is the case at Man City, Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Whilst I understand the club's desire to move to a more cost-effective model, similar to that of the clubs above, sacking all scouts, as well as the mascot is indeed an act of pure pettiness and completely at odds with the values and principles the club once had.

At this stage, I wouldn't at all be surprised if the club's photographer of the last 30 years, Stuart MacFarlane, was sacked and replaced by a younger (thus, cheaper) photographer.

I’m sorry but if this isn’t temporary while fans aren’t in the stadium then this club can f**k themselves. Dude spends so much time playing with the youngsters at the stadium and keeps them entertained for hours before the game and during half time.

It may seem insignificant to many but this is a shocker if true and if permanent. Even as a temporary measure it stinks.

He’ll be back with that trademark smile as soon as crowds are allowed back in imo, but can’t see that happening for a year

We’ve got Pablo Mari who can step in as the big G Rex as we speak

I hope so but this club used to be about something. Paying this guy for his loyalty even while fans are out of the stadium would be the way this club used to run.

Make him have more of a social media presence (apparently he’s already been doing this) and include him in more arsenal brand photos. Find a way to use him and not just try to save the cheap ass 20k a year or whatever the poor bloke gets paid.
