Luiz and Xhaka are the standout culprits, but even forwards like Auba, Pepe,Nketiah have been surprise offenders.
Others notably Gab and Leno.
Bellerin has 7 yellows, shows his struggle at RB.
Overall it paints a sorry picture of a team in disarray. These happen from lack of understanding amongst each other and confidence in oneself and sometimes proper planning.
Most red card incidents lowers the morale and result in major point losses or tournament defeats.
So it does boil down to Arteta and Co. to a large extent when repeated offenses cost the team dearly, but also to seniors like Luiz and Xakh who have remained big kids.
These are serious issues and if the team management cannot handle, then they need to go. Need someone to drill these disciplinary issues hard into players. Otherwise we cannot progress.

We had 9 red cards in 65 games between 97/98
Won the double
We had 13 red cards in 54 games between 01/02
Won the double
We had 9 red cards in 76 games between 02 and 04
Won the league unbeaten

So Starmandb, care to tell us when you think we will win the league next then, give us a bit of a laugh, we can all do with some cheering up.

No idea , we did win it 3 years after 94/95 when it was the worst home season I have ever seen
Remained cheerful myself then
what I posted above is a antidote to the post I answered
Or is another reason to sink in a pit of despair?
We finished 12th in the 69/70
We won the double the next year

Dammit, thought you were going to say next season. 3 years with the right man at the helm is not beyond the realms of belief. Is the right man Arteta, I highly doubt it but I am open to any and all surprises.

Don't forget Leicester finished 14th in 2015 with 41 points having lost 19 games, then won the league with 81 points the following season.

6 wins out of 10 w/a draw and we are 5th-6th. Very doable. Job done; and EL will be a major bonus. Things ate looking up. Onwards and upwards.

Arsenal conundrum-
Players not married into Arsenal cause but mainly for the ridevand money-
1. Pepe: high salary, laid back attitude - not ambitious. Lose lose situation.
2. Luiz: had a career somewhere else. Mainly to acquire a good retirement package. Has quality, plays with gay abandon, casual and reckless. Enjoys the ride. Had no concern for the club as a whole. Loser: Arsenal and fans.
3. Auba: Another Ozil syndrome. Came in like a lion, got his money and now into percentage football. won't go the extra mile-will enjoy thevride from now on. Knows he is indispensable at this stage.
4. Willian: mostly like Luiz..just a little worse. Lose lose AFC.
5. Ceballos: poor quality..palmed off by RM. Knows his time in top tier is running out. Only positive : can be easily jettisoned.
6. Xhakha: low quality player; amazingly made a career at Arsenal. Reason why we never reached the next level. Longer he stays worse of we are.
7. Leno- supposedly a good shot stopper was always suspect commanding his area. Now become more dubious in distribution and shot stopping as well. Getting beaten at near posts often. Cannot be a mainstay for long.
These are mostly supposedly first choice players in beginning of the season who have come undone over the 6-7 months.
Doubtful prospects: Partey: came w/a lot of fan fare but have had little to show so far. Not even a single goal from the supposedly dominant CM/DM.
Odegaard: few glimpses of quality but long way of from being a mainstay either here or RM. Not point in dallying w/him after summer.
Future: Saka, ESR, Ti( injury prone but 100% for us) for obvious reasons. Have kept us afloat.
Laca: no matter what anyone says, he is a game trier. Has suffered due to lack of supplies and support and extra attention from the opposing defense.
Bellerin and Cedric: on and off but gives a lot. Have their strengths and weaknesses, but definitely has feelings for us.
Elneny: has done little injustice to the limited opportunities.
Martinelli: injury prone but talented. Should find his way into the team sooner or later.
Arteta: started well but the long season must have taught him hard lessons. Managing players is no easy job, and even though he might survive until summer, whatever happens to us until summer, but after thay he'll walk a tight rope.
Our problem is managerial options are limited. Top two, Pep, Klopp are well tied up. Others like Mou or Carlo are iffy at best; doesn't appeal much to me at least.
Anyone from another league will find it difficult to improve this bunch. Another round of trading the rough market waters I'm afraid. Another round of uncertainties come summer.

Willock and Niles should get us 35m a piece. That's a 70m transfer warchest!

5th PL for MC and 4 for Chelsea since since we won in '04. Any idea if we will see anything like that in near future? We are far far away from the top under Edu, Arteta &Co. now, from any time in memory( in last 25 yrs). Really sad. Hope we have some good luck next season and turn things around. Otherwise been pretty depressing for a while.
