Adebayor doubtful, Rosicky out, Ljungberg back
Portsmouth v Arsenal
Barclays Premiership

By Richard Clarke

Arsène Wenger will ring the changes for the final game of the season at Portsmouth on Sunday.

Emmanuel Adebayor (groin) is struggling while Thierry Henry (groin/stomach), Robin van Persie (foot) and Theo Walcott (shoulder) have been absent for some time. It means the Arsenal manager may pair Julio Baptista and the returning Freddie Ljungberg up front. Elsewhere Gilberto and Jens Lehmann will be rested.

“Rosicky is out, Aliadiere is out and Flamini is out,” said Wenger. “Adebayor is a doubt with a groin problem but Ljungberg is available.

“I will rest Gilberto because of some niggles and I will rest Jens Lehmann because I want to play Almunia in the last game. Apart from that everybody is available.”

When asked about his front pairing he replied: “Baptista should play and maybe with Ljungberg.”

Man, that's a very makeshift strike force. Can't we draft in someone from reserves?

Baptista's experienced, and Ljungbergs played in that position a fair few times, might aswell leave new faces for a fresh start next season.

Think we'll get 3 points tomorrow, they seem to want 3rd.

But whatever happens, f***ing roll on August.

Thank christ for the lack of International tournament this year.

Think we'll get the 3pts too, may be a weakened squad, but dont forget our reserves did well against chelski in the CC Final.
Hopefully Charlton will give it everything they got for pride on their last day in the prem, and the scouse will drop a few points. ;)

Stil 3rd/4th is just bragging rights really, but if us & the scouse win we need to have a better goal difference by +2, if we are equal on pts & GD come 5pm tonight we will go 3rd on goals scored, 63 compared to liverpool 55.

Then Helen gets next seasons Arsenal shirt bought, if not i got to get his! little bet going on here!

Interesting 90mins huh! :P
Come on the Arsenal!

Fair play Baptista does get alot of stick, deserved most of teh time for his terrible finishing but he didnt half put some power behind that pen, great save from Calamity. Cant blame Julio for missing that one.
