On form he's one of the most dominant CM's in the league, its why I've always backed him even through his slow returns to form.

He's a great player.

For me... i truly believe his injuries, getting brutally tackled from behind by opposition players... made him a bit timid...

just my POV

but the class is showing since he's been healthy for a good stretch

Superb today.
Again.
He’s setting his level now - the level we expected - and needs to maintain it.

Some were saying he was crap and needed replacing.

The difference with this guy (apart from his shooting) is the talent was always obvious for me, it was simply his form from all the stops and starts.

One of the best CM's in the premier league.

Whether its Liverpool, Utd, whoever, if he's on form he's the most dominant CM on the pitch.

Any credit to Arteta and the coaching staff he chose for improving him?

I mean... if he played shit it would be down to the manager. Wouldn't it?

......... Phil this is Thomas Partey.

He wasn't exactly a scrub before he got here, hence why we bought him. :rofll:

Def the wrong player to be trying to play the development card, I think he was already pretty good at Atletico mate.

He was never not good, he just had injuries etc since being here, couple of so-so games but all in all whenever he's had time to gain form he's been excellent.

He was wholly inconsistent at Atletico. That's why they were willing to sell him and why we got him for that price. He has also seriously struggled to adapt to the PL.

So yeah - some credit has to be given to the manager for buying him and getting him to the level of performance and consistency we're currently seeing.

As I say, if he was playing shit Arteta would be blamed for buying him and for his performances.

Phil he was great at Atletico ......... Atletico didn't want to sell him, we paid his release clause! they didn't have a choice in the matter, that whole statement you just said is wholly false.

He had a £45m release clause and we paid it.

Not at any time of Partey doing so-so has anyone blamed Arteta, at least I've never seen that said on here.

You're getting paranoid.
