Don’t think he cares tbh he’s getting paid nearly 5 times his previous salary

After retirement what will make you more happy, the size of your wallet or the amount of medals you have on the wall?

Nice pass to Auba right at the end.

Absolutely shit otherwise. I'm genuinely worried. I can't really even blame Arteta because a player like Partey is supposed to be the finished product. When we signed Ozil, Alexis and PEA they didn't need 'coaching', they were established pros.

Partey cost £45m, is on a 200k pw deal, and came from Atletico. Yet he looks absolutely dreadful the majority of the time.

There needs to be a lot more care taken when signing players from outside the PL.

Even PL player signings have been rubbish. Example Willian...an almost PL great.

True - but Willian is old and past it.
Would have loved WIllian of 5-6 years ago in our team.

Then he would have cost a fortune and Wenger wouldn't have it. He shunned PL players. Exceptions being Campbell, Silvestre,Gallas, etc, but that's a different era, ages ago.

He's OK. Not a great game but you can't play that sort of line up and expect him to shine. Hardly any runners on the pitch and the key moment came once Auba was on making a run into the box and Partey picked him out.

What about the other 87 minutes where he looked just as lost as everybody else?

His one good moment covered up a shocking display, clearly Emery had his number if you limit Partey's time and space he simply lacks the technique to make those seconds ... a great defensive midfield player, Modric for example, never looks rushed, Partey looks under pressure all the time.

This season has been pretty meh once the EPL worked him out, next season he needs to take a very large step up.

Exactly. Doesn't that tell you the balance of the team was wrong?
