Yup. Its no coincidence that when Gilberto left our centre became soft as hell. We need a big strong CM to marshall the midfield

Can't say we've really missed him. Xhaka + Elneny combo has served us well each time they've played together.

The fact we are still in the hunt with Nketiah, Elneny and Xhaka all starters and all key performers deserves a round of applause actually.

Yeah, I maintain my stance that winning or losing is down to the manager!

Me neither, lots of talk about this now.

Questions about Melo too, flopped at Barca, flopped at Juve yet we seem interested, he was one of the targets we failed to land in January.

Not strange news at all.

There have been rumblings before that Arteta wasn't happy with his overall contribution and the injuries haven't helped. Our our increased focus on slashing wages tells me both he and Pepe will be on the market.

Frankly, a midfield of Xhaka, Ode and Elneny probably costs less than Partey does on his own. The decision to give him and Willian £10m/yr (up to age 32 in Partey's case) never made sense to me, and has long fueled my lack of confidence in Arteta's decision making.

My question is why aren’t we selling Xhaka, the guys is rubbish.

Partey at least brings something to the table.

Partey in shape and in form has shown he's one of the best CM enforcers in the Prem, always dominates the opposing team.

I suppose the criticism is his injury record, making his season very stop start.

Because Arteta doesn't agree and sees Xhaka as an important member of the squad

Yes, imagine preferring Xhaka over Partey!
