We shouldn't be rushing this guy back from Africa to play 48 hours after playing a game for his national team.

Says more about our lack of midfield options than him.

Stupid question but will he miss a BPL game now or does the red card not count because we are out of the comp?

I think the sending off was harsh, the second yellow was probably correct but why did he get a yellow for his first foul after just coming on to the pitch? Don't you normally get a warning for your first foul? (Or first 10 if you're rodri). To be fair on that first foul Williams had passed the ball straight to one of our players before he was tackled so it's not even like it even broke up an attack, I just find the inconsistency odd.

Apparently before signing for Arsenal all midfielders require a full lobotomy.

This clip is like the reels of him playin for Atletico.

I REALLY DO think it (his being off form) was all the initial injuries. Ugly injuring tackles he suffered.

Just seen this on my timeline. He had a much better game. Way more space given to him to just distribute from deep. Xhaka wasn't in the picture and played higher up..

Whilst I am definitely no Alan Turing, surely the law of averages dictates that the Ghanaian Thunderbolt is about to put one into the top corner from 30 yards.

I'm also just a little bit surprised that none of our Adidas marketing consultants have already fashioned and retailed hoodies and t-shirts with proclamations of having been hit by a Thomas Partey shot.

Very good game. Everything ran through him. Creative and assured at the same time. Well done.

Between him and Xhaka we have by far the two worst central midfielders at shooting on goal.

He's taking control of the midfield. He's been so much better and has upped his game. Has a more clearly defined role.
