Yup, we saw his truer level today !

At no point in Xhaka's Arsenal career has he put in a performance as good as Partey's today.

Leeds away
West Ham home
West Brom away
And that’s just this season

Wait, you are telling me that Xhaka in the games you listed put in performances as good as Partey's man of the match performance against Man City?!!

Starmandb, have you been drinking too much over the Christmas period?!!!

Has Xhaka EVER been man of the match furthermore?!!!

Partly had a good game v Man City but I think he was better at Leeds as well
I thought martinelli was our best player v city
Teatotal at Christmas but never left the crack pipe once

Getting Partey back now would be a god send.

I hope people realise how important he is, yes, he's been badly inconsistent when coming back from injuries etc but when he's on form he dominates midfields even against City just like what we wanted from him when we bought him.

Don't think Partey has done enough yet to have majority's vote of confidence.
He's played basically 4 good games so far and has been poor in many more.
The current upswing in performance is due to the attacking players able to keep the ball upfield and create more pressure on the opponent, thereby releasing pressure from the Defense and CMs.
So the impact of the quad of Saka, ESR, Odegaard, and Martinelli has bailed out Partey & Co. recently.
We need better CMs than Partey ( and of course Xhaka!!) to challenge the top 4.

Even if Gabon beat Ghana and Ghana are eliminated they still have another game to play. The last group stage match is on 20th January, then there is the travel back and an agreed rest period after a major tournament. The EARLIEST Partey will be back in late January.

Juventus want Arsenal's Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey, 28, included in any deal for the Serie A side's Brazil midfielder Arthur Melo, 25. (Sky Sports Italy, via Mail)

They can "have him" for two weeks while he's at the AFCON, other than that they can go swivel.

I always love the brass balls of the Italians when doing deals, its worse than doing business with Donald Trump.

Loool they’re off their rocker
.

Tbh they paid 70m for Artur. Probably want to recoup as much of that as possible.

Give them Pepe and Xhaka and be done with it.

It was a swap deal with Pjanic, so Juve at most paid £10m or thereabouts in cash. Considering that both clubs have financial irregularities, I wouldn't be surprised if the transfer for both players were valued at crazy amounts to make the numbers look good. In no world is 30yo Pjanic going to be valued at EUR 60m.

I guess we don't need a midfielder in January then.

Fantastic news.

Fk Ghana lol

We need him more than they do, now we can at least have Partey & Lokonga until Xhaka gets off the naughty step, that steadies our CM issue.

He'll get 2 weeks off to recuperate if previous Arsenal managers are anything to go by
