He's been given his favoured kit number 5, which he also wears/wore for Ghana and Atlético. (The number had been freed up following Sokratis' departure last January.)

Worrying to see him injured again.
This is why it's always a gamble paying big money for a player with no PL experience.
Physically he doesn't look like he can hack it.
We could have another Diaby on our hands.

Arteta on the Partey injury:

"I just had a talk with the doc. He'll have a scan tomorrow. At the moment it's not looking good."

Unfortunately could be another stop-start season for him.

Yes, it might.
Even with Xhaka now confirmed as staying, we will be short without Partey.

Some reports say Bernado Siva might be headed to Arsenal in case the Kane or Grealish transfers materializes. £60 mil well spent then?

Looks like 4-6 weeks out at best, the real concern is the repeat nature of these injuries, another muscle stretch/tear that just doesn't bode well.

Don't think this guy can be relied on to start 25-30 games a season. In a sense I'm not surprised we are extending Xhaka. Match fitness wise it's not even a competition.

Its because he has to cover for that t**t Xhaka !!

He is Ghanaian, Africans are tough/strong as f**k, any coincidence he is playing alongside Xhaka and getting injured all the time ?!!!

It's the PL.
Simple as that.
It's a different beast to anything else.
Pay big money on a player without PL experience and it's a risk.

He wasn't playing alongside Xhaka when he got injured yesterday.

Partey is not young either.
If this is another stop-start season, he'll be 29 heading into next year and we'll be hoping again he doesn't get injured.

We can not afford another Diaby situation.

What does that have to do with anything, lots of players come to Arsenal and end up as sick notes. We have a similar issue with Tierney, he is good for 60-70pct of a season tops.

The problem with Partey is that we paid well over the odds for him, same as we've now done with Ben White. Neither of them are world class, but we're sinking a fortune into buying them, with little to no resale value.
