Isn't he the first left-footed CB we've signed in since Vermaelen?

Can't believe it's been 11 years.

Good point made about him being a left footer. On the counter when the CB should be goal side he can tackle with the "correct" leg and so improve the chances of winning the ball and not committing fouls.

Arsenal must pay £8m to turn the loan signings of Spain defender Pablo Mari, 26, and Portugal right-back Cedric Soares, 28, into permanent deals. (Star)

Arsenal have indicated to Brazilian side Flamengo that they intend to exercise the option to turn 26-year-old Spanish defender Pablo Mari's loan deal into a permanent one in the summer. (Coluna Do Fla, via Football.London)

Does make me laugh how Man Utd get ighalo from corona virus country, he's put in quarantine and he still makes his debut before either of our 2 numpties we got.

People laughed at me when I said this move was a favour for his agent in order to get better relationship with him.

Yes definitely worth the money, he’s made such a difference since he came in, those two wins and all those draws are all down to him!

Not the biggest test of his career but I think most of us would agree he has made a solid debut.

Pabli Marí vs Portsmouth:
• 5 clearances
• 3 blocked shots
• 0 times dribbled past
• 100 touches (second most overall)
• 77 accurate passes (89.5%)
• 13/17 long balls
