Mavropanos is another that never got a chance at all, he went on loan performed well and still he was overlooked in favour of players who were making mistakes regularly.

These kind of things and the Saliba situation really make you question the people in charge.

Mari was good for us last season so it made sense to keep him over a dude who is unknown in the PL. A poor start to the season doesn't help but it's easy to say X would be an improvement when, had the roles been reverse, Mavro could've been the one getting bullied by Lukaku and then it'd be called a mistake again.

Mari will be fine as Gabriel's backup but he should be benched as soon as Gabi is back after those horror shows to start the season.

We already have Holding and co as back up and there's not much distinction between them in quality so I hope Mari goes, he's not a positive but a detriment along with all the others.

Sick of teh sight of them to be honest, Kolasinac, Holding, Mari all part of those bad memories of having a shite defence.

Actually he or White can be tried as DM in absence of Partey to keep Xhaka further away from defense ( to keep us safer) . Holding can play as right CB behind any one of them.
