According to the Mirror, Arsenal is considering selling Gabriel Magalhaes in an unexpected move during the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old has been a mainstay of Arsenal's defence this season, but Mikeal Arteta may look to replace him with a left-footed defender who is more comfortable playing passes out of the back while in the left-sided centre-back role.

Juventus is one possible destination for the Brazilian as the Italian club look to replace Giorgio Chiellini.

More bollocks, like when the Ben White purchase was being justified because he was a CB Pirlo who could play defense splitting passes. How did that work out?

Chances are, Gabriel wants out or Arteta has fallen out with another player.

Yep. Some of the assumptions made about our purchases have been way off. Another example is Ramsdale, who is better at kicking it long and looked almost as uncomfortable as Leno having to play out from the back against a high pressing team.

The Newcastle game reminded me of how shambolic we used to look under Emery when trying to play out from the back.

I was on Team Ramsdale because his goalkicks were accurate and reached our players, something Leno struggled with. But in the last few games, we went back to PIOFTB and as you said, looked terrible.

Only guy who could do this consistently well was Emi Martinez, now long gone.

And Arsenal chiefs are holding talks over whether to sell Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhaes this summer, with a £51m fee being touted for the 24-year-old, who has been linked with Juventus. (Tuttosport - in Italian)

I like the idea of a left footed left CB, but its not really necessary, we did alright with Stevie Bould, Chelsea do alright with that black guy whose name escapes me - the one that has to get involved in every flare up that takes place on the pitch

If White is £50m, then Gabriel is £75m minimum.

He's not that bad on the ball either.

Arteta may want to clear out any player that wasn't bought under his rule.

Reality is we’ve missed out on the CL revenue and as always that has implications. Wouldn’t be surprised if that means Gabriel is the fall guy. Sell him for 40-50 mil and make up for the lost revenue.

Yup him !!

Dunno what it is with Chelsea and gobby CBs that have to get involved in all the on-field drama, they had Zouma who was exactly the same too !!

We're due to spend a f**k-ton this summer, and it doesn't look like our final league position will impact that.

The biggest damage from throwing away forth is not being able to attract players that want CL football... and of course having players like Saka demand release clauses in his contract, although player power is on the rise, so I think that was on the cards anyway.
