This was a big nothing burger. What was the leak exactly? Kia low key insulting Arteta about the absence of a coherent project? We know that FFSl, dude is bottom of the league already.

Showing us how it's done once again.

Chelsea gets one of Atletico's starters on loan

Meanwhile we pay the full release clause for a second stringer like Partey.

Having read the interview Edu gave to Sky Sports, I've become convinced we need to find a new technical director.

Came across very poor to be honest. Not sure if it was a language thing but it didn't fill me with confidence.

He looked like a man up against the wall with some very unconvincing reasons not to be shot.

What is the point of doing these interviews if you're going to be so tight-lipped?

"Judge when the team is all fit and playing together" -- this is Arsenal, the starting XI is never going to be fully fit.

Didn't bother to defend the Ben White signing at all.

If we don't start climbing up the table in next three games, he and Arteta needs to go.
His 'Futures' and 'Covers' haven't been convincing so far. And if this has been the planning for more than a year, then I'm afraid his time haven't been well spent.

Well, not that he was asked the question so he wouldn't have had to comment on it, but what is there to defend about the Ben White signing?

He bought a 20 mil player for 50 mil. Needs defending. No pun intended.

He was found lacking against a Championship side on Day 1.

"Where we needed to spend big, big money, for me and for Mikel, that was in the centre-back position because we needed someone to fill that position. David Luiz was leaving and this was the one where we needed someone to come here and straight away have an impact on the team with the right profile of what we believe for the short, medium and long term.

^^ Poor explanation IMO. Arsenal's most expensive defensive signing needs stronger justification than "Luiz was leaving". Especially when we have zero goals scored this season so far.
