Didn't bother to defend the Ben White signing at all.

Well, not that he was asked the question so he wouldn't have had to comment on it, but what is there to defend about the Ben White signing?

He bought a 20 mil player for 50 mil. Needs defending. No pun intended.

20 mil based on what?

50 mil for a defender with one year experience in the league, who’s lightweight, can’t head and primarily plays in a back five. Having a laugh.

This.

As Carragher and Neville have stated, being a ball playing CB these days is no big thing, most CBs can play out from the back, Ben White is nothing out of the ordinary. Which begs the question; why spend £50m on a CB who is shit in the air?!!

I can't wait for the season to re-start so we can moan or fawn over the players and the manager as appropriate. All ifs buts and maybes at the moment. Arteta is gong nowhere in the near future, so let's just give it a few games and see where we are.

In a season where the technical director has said there is no target, when you consider we are dead last, these are dangerous times.
Blind leading the blind, with no goal.
WTF is going on

Edu came across as clueless in that interview. Bunch of excuses and no confidence.

I don’t understand the bit about waiting for our first team to all play together?

Surely one of the main necessities to be a top side is to have enough depth that your performances stay at a high level even if you are a few first teamers short :dontknow:

He’s basically admitting that if we get a few injuries we are done. That is a preposterous attitude. Losers mentality

Tbh this bit from what he said is not wrong

"We have to balance the squad better. We have to recruit the players with the right characteristics and the right profile to make the squad better, more solid and much more consistent because last season we suffered with consistency.

Hopefully they've identified more hard working players who have some fight in them when things don't go so smoothly.

It means Arteta will never play a full team again. He will at least leave one first team player out and
when things go bad then he can just say "Hey, you can't judge me, Dumbo. One first team player wasn't playing.".
