Mine are:
1. Prioritize the PL. Getting into the CL is easier through the league than through the EL since four spots are up for grabs versus one spot. Winning the EL would be fantastic, but not at the cost of missing out on the CL again. After two seasons in the EL, I'm tired of the competition and a club of Arsenal's size should be in the CL, and I hope this is our third and final season out of it. Play our strongest team in PL games, and play youngsters, fringe players, and second stringers in knockout competitions unless we reach the semis (EL, FA Cup) or the final (League Cup). We don't have the depth to fully compete on two or three fronts, so prioritizing the easiest path back into Europe's premier competition makes sense to me.
2. Have a plan A play-style. Constantly chopping and altering tactics without having a defining ethos seems like throwing crap against the wall and seeing what sticks. Yeah, I know Emery said that he wants us to be adaptable, but there's little point in having a plan B, C, or D if there's no definitive plan A. I want to be able to watch Arsenal and say, "Yep, this is Emeryball," not watch some six-year-old on FIFA playing any and every-way without a sense of purpose.
3. Greatly improve our away form. 25 points from a possible 57 is midtable form. We should be earning no fewer than 40 points away from home (17 points is already a lot to drop). On the other hand, we earned 45 points at home. And then there's scoring: 42 GF, 16 GA at home and 31 GF, 35 GA away. At home, we're 42% better at scoring and 119% worse at defending. There's a massive consistency problem that needs to be addressed. However, as much as I give Emery a hard time, I'll give him a slight pass for our away form last season since it was his first season in the PL. But, he needs to stop giving our opponents so much respect when we're away from home; he's coaching Arsenal, not Brighton.
