Which scenario is better?

Postby matelot » Thu May 23, 2019 1:06 pm

Personally the Europa League does little for me except Champions league qualification...Most gooners would obviously prefer an Arsenal win in the Europa and a Liverpool win in the champions league,yet if you only had one choice what would it be? I would rather Arsenal lost and spurs lost,rather than both being victorious and having to suffer for years to come from those down the road..What would you choose? Remember you only have the choice of TWO outcomes..

I said before that I'd prefer both lose, but I've changed my mind. We need this win more than we need them to lose.

Bang on.

The only reason they'll have won the Champs League (if they do) is because we were too shit the previous season to qualify for it in the year they won it. They'll have won by default, as we won't have competed. f**k them.

Of course this argument doesn't work if the unthinkable happens and we lose and....

Come back to me once the CL final ends.

In all seriousness though, the answer is obvious for me.

I imagine it must have been kinda tough to have been a gunner back in the summer of '61. The same way as there wasn't to be an Arsenal fan walking around less than 6 foot tall 10 years later.

Without needing to detail all the subsequent titles and doubles, the point is, we used a spurs super achievement to to help mould ourselves as a club to not only match but surpass their most significant achievement.

Could do the same again if need be, show the size of our bollocks.

You are tripping bro.

Any scenario that has Spurs winning the CL before us is a catastrophe, it is an abomination. I dont understand how any Arsenal fan can accept Spurs winning the CL before us. I don't know a single Gooner in London that would accept that

- Spurs are the first modern English side to win the Domestic Double;
- Spurs are the first official UEFA Cup winners;
- Spurs were the 3rd winners of the CWC and won it way before we did in 1994;
- Spurs have more European Trophies than us;
- In fact, they'd won two UEFA Cups and were losing finalists on another occasion before we even reached a UEFA Cup final.
- Before Wenger, Spurs had 8 FA Cups over our haul of 6 FA Cups.

The dominance we established over Spurs are all those league titles—13 over their total of 2. And, our record FA Cup wins of the same number, 13. We have a record amounts of Doubles—tied with ManU (3) and are the only club in this league's history to win it in multiple decades. We're the only Invincibles in the modern era. That's our legacy.

Say what?

I want Arsenal to win the EL, hands down. I'd prefer if Arsenal won and EL and Liverpool won the UCL. My enjoyment of winning the EL has and will have nothing to do with Spurs.

I want Arsenal to win. I also want Liverpool to win the UCL. But between these two options, it has to be the option that has Arsenal winning the EL.

Fin.

Actually would be interested to know how many born and bred Londoners who are Gooners would be ok with Spurs winning the CL if Arsenal win the EL.

My hatred for Spurs is real.

I think the best scenario is not to make a thread that countances losing at football
Ever... being a football club and that
It's been discussed
It's been posted about
Get 100 percent focused on winning
That's the mentality that needs to be coursing through the club at every level
