Two signings in one day!

Part of me was hoping they were secretly working on a deal which meant keeping him for this season. Either way he's exactly what we have been needing. A big powerful CB. Him and Holding could be the next big Arsenal CB pairing.

This big fella was only 8 years old when Arshavin put 4 past Liverpool.

Physically he looks like a seasoned professional footballer who's in his mid- to late twenties, which makes it hard to believe he's 2 years younger than the likes of Nelson, Willock and Nketiah.

Also, he looks very mature in his conduct and comes across as very composed and confident - particularly considering he only recently turned 18.

If true, that's very encouraging news going into the business end of the transfer window. Especially if you also consider we, allegedly, didn't pay a loan fee to bring in Ceballos. It's believed that we'll only cover his full salary which is a 'modest' ~£50k per week.

£6,03m → Gabriel Martinelli
£4,50m → William Saliba
£3,15m → David Ospina (sale)

= £7,38m net spend

This would leave £37,62m for us to spend on a left back and a wing forward. Both deals could (and probably would) also be paid in installments and bonuses.

Salary shouldn't be a problem considering the departures of Suárez, Ospina, Cech, Welbeck, Lichsteiner and Ramsey.

*Budget might still increase if (huge if) we can manage to sell a player or two before TDD.
