Sources all over the place saying Spurs have bid €25m ++ (2m more than us) .... if they keep Alderweireld and let him run down his contract they can easily lend him back for a season. Seems we've both agreed personal terms so it's down to who gets an offer accepted ....

Would be a massive kick in the balls if f***ing Spurs do us over on this.

Raul is doing great job of fixing our defence for the next season. Signing a player for £26.5m then loaning him back for a season.

I guess he is planning 2020/2021 season already.

Or Zagadou. I'd be happy with any of those three.

Well the price is now 25m upfront plus a year's loan back .... big decision to make .... we've been pushed by a supposed Spurs 30m package deal, maybe time to call St. Etienne's bluff take our offer now or it goes down .... see just how serious that Spurs bid is

No club will be paying £25m up front especially if they loan him back - no-one pays up front anyway

The sticking point is that StEttienne want a guaranteed £30m, whereas most reports are saying we’re offering a fair bit of that and the rest in bonuses

I suspect wherever he goes they’ll be paying like £5-10m up front

Were one of the only clubs in the prem where the need for immediate improvements is more pressing than the need to longterm invest.

Buying saliba now without extra funds to replace mustafi , monreal and kos means we will need to keep playing them.

I get saliba is an attractive proposition, but its not what we need right now in the harsh light of day.

Unless you fine with similar defensive performances as we had last season, but probably worse in the case of mon and kos as they lose even more pace.

I been saying the whole time. Mustafi will be starter next season. No one is gonna spend money on him. Clubs only wanna loan him

Yeah I think he’ll still be here too

The only club who wants him are Fener and thatsbon loan because they’re £500m in debt

If we are the only one looking at him, he might not be that good?

Everyone else is thinking about what they need instead of future investments.

He wont be helping anyone but st etienne next season and that's a lot for 30m.
