Remember when the argument people made for Saliba not playing was that if he starts to make mistakes when fans are back in the stadium they would get on his back immediately ?!!!

Well ..... another poor argument obliterated already.

It was nonsense then it’s nonsense now
It was great that the fans stayed behind him and it’s always been my belief that the whole oxygen around the club should be one of support Be it in the stadium on forums or on a phone in and the criticism should be reasoned and come with a heavy heart
But
These are professionals and should be expected to play in any environment

exacto.

so many RELISH in the criticism with snarky arrogance.

i mean. where's the LOVE?

what you describe above is how we treat our loved ones. we Goons are supposed to love our club.

sure. its been tough to see the squad packed full of midtable players, but we seem to be making an upsurge.

When I say things like this it sounds OTT but I mean it.....

To be an Arsenal fan is to carry the weight of all that have come before us on our shoulders.

Fans who never got to see Arsenal win the European Cup, or Champions League as it now is. I hope to be there when it happens to help represent all those people.

Other fans who died young and maybe never saw a single trophy brought home.

Fans who could never afford a ticket

Players who started this club from scratch and fought for the sheer hell of it to build it up

It's not about joy, honestly, it's about responsibility. As an Arsenal fan, I hope to be proud more than I hope to be happy.

That's why although praise is important, and enjoying the moment is important, striving for better and demanding better is more important. It is our responsibility.

I think you can do both though mate
Yes we have won
Now go and win it better should always be the mantra
But we spend far too little time on this planet not to enjoy the wins when they come

"striving for better and demanding better is more important. It is our responsibility."

striving sure... but at a certain point regarding any particular player... demanding is feckless.

as in you cannot demand Cedric to be Alexander-Arnold.

sadly... the best teams we have had as of late are FA cup winning level, but not more.

it SEEMS we are moving in the right direction

Can't be bothered with quoting etc, but Salibas OG was down to Ramsdale napping out of position again, charging out of position in a blind spot where he can't see the ball, Ramsdale is looking the weak link in the team at times, the biggest grumble we had with Leno was that he was spectacular one minute then a absolute clown at other times but I'd say Ramsdale is a sideways move from Leno despite the strong start he had when we first got him, i don't blame Saliba at all, 21 years old, 2nd game in the Prem getting chased down by Vardy at a rapid rate and Ramsdale shitting the bed behind him in a blind spot.

Other than that Saliba was class and the other goal was Ramsdale's poor positioning again, what is it with him and near post howlers?

not arguing that the near post thing is something to be monitored... but as for position on THAT goal...

am not sure where he IS supposed to be... if you could explain?

If you have a 6ft 5 cb blinding you from the ball jogging backwards trying to deal with Vardy, you don't go blindly running out when you can't see wtf you are doing you hold the line and keep the ball in sight, and thats what he did causing the mistake, Saliba knocked it in, but Ramsdale was out of position.

Unless you mean the near posty, well thats a regular thing with Ramsdale.
