Last time we played Spurs in a friendly was the 0-0 1991 charity shield

Both win their finals or both lose their finals.

Pick one.

Genuinely think I'd rather go with the 2nd option.

You're nuts. Scum winning the CL won't change anything. They'll have fluked a cup competition, that's all. We NEED CL football back.

A league title would be worse imo. That really would indicate a power shift.

You people are indeed sick.

Imagine praying for someone's destruction rather than hoping for the club's first ever Europa League trophy.

If it came down to both losing or both winning—Spurs winning the UCL and Arsenal winning the EL—I'd go for the latter. We're not some suicide bomber who would go bombing everyone, including your own, just because you are consumed with hatred.

Also, I have no idea why some Gooners are acting like the two are inter-related. Ya know, geniuses, by any chance it could occur that Liverpool win the UCL and Arsenal win the EL, or Spurs win the UCL and Chelsea win the EL.

I know. Shock horror, right?

People who're speaking out of their emotions seem to have no consideration over the financial implications of us missing out on a CL berth for a 3rd season running. We could do what Wenger did from 07-12—participate in the UCL, whilst winning no trophies—and still be in a better position than we are currently. We need that UCL berth because Stanley man ain't going to put any of his $$$$$ into our club. It's for the short-term future of the club.

If it did come down to the unique scenario of both European Trophies heading to North London, so be it. I'd rather hope we embarrass the lot in the Supercup.

But then again, Klopp is winning the UCL this time. Third time's the charm. So nada worries.

The reason I don't want Spurs to win the Champions League is because I don't think I can take them lot singing "champions of Europe, you'll never sign that" at every opportunity to us. They would be doing it all the time, and they would be right.

It's annoying enough already. There's no doubt that it would be a miserable scenario.

But, Spurs winning the UCL and Arsenal winning the UEL isn't directly proportional. A worse scenario would be Spurs winning the UCL and Chelsea winning the EL.

The best scenario is Arsenal winning the Europa League, no questions asked.

The next best scenario is Arsenal winning the Europa League and Liverpool winning the UCL.

I just don't get how we're ready to accept losing EL if it meant Spurs doesn't win the UCL. That's Spurs mentality—petty, small-time, and repugnant.

100% take us losing the EL if it guaranteed Spurs not winning the CL

Possible slight improvement for us isn’t worth the years of torture endured if Spurs f***ing do it

Agreed- winning Europa is an absolute must to get our brand back up.

My happiness with us winning the EL would be greater than the disappointment with Spurs winning the CL; where us losing the EL would just make me upset.. and Spurs losing wouldn’t offset that.

Serious question: do you think we'll ever win the Champions League?
