Soooo happy for him. If he can push on it’s going to a be big bonus as his star was fading.
He got another chance and this time he took it.

Not sure who he went to at the end of the game… someone in the crowd that it looked like he knew. The embrace was long and felt like a huge relief for him to have scored and played well.

ESR does exactly what we want Odegaard to do but better.

We should play ESR through the middle, Saka on one side and Martinelli on the other.

This is why I never wanted odegaard here. He is not good enough for the level we should be striving for. Such a waste of resources.
Rest in Peace SE13 :(

Feel the same. Would prefer to see ESR and Saka play closer together because they have great chemistry and an understanding. No idea what Odegaard was doing today but a lot of what he tried didn't work. Needs to improve.

Odegaard is definitely the weakest of the 6 new signings, but give him time.
He played well today.

Excellent cameo from Martinelli. Good goal and some bright moments overall.

Nope.

He just looked all sheepish like "He's just shown me up".

He didn't look that happy when the camera flashed back to him. Hopefully, Martinelli starts the next game if Saka isn't fit.

The question was did he celebrate it.

Go watch the tape and you'll see exactly as I described.

Imagine if that money had gone on Bissouma or Guimaraes.

How good was Martinelli's goal btw?

I did see it. And to be fair he seemed to heave a sigh of relief. Probably didn’t celebrate out of anxiety.

Anyone got a gif of his reaction? Didn't notice at the time cos I was too busy going f***ing mental celebrating!

I reckon he'll beak into the team this season the same way ESR did last season.
