Still say he reminds me of a young RVP

RVP wouldn't even have gotten into that position—even if he was on EPO. Man was blessed with many talents but pace wasn't one of them.

While I do believe Martinelli's future lies more toward a striker/forward than as a wide player or attacking midfielder, I don't really see any resemblance to RVP other than the fact that he's also technically gifted.

RVP was left footed, slower, lankier, had a completely different running style and didn't possess Martinelli's raw pace and low center of gravity.

Instead, as a young player he stood out because of his first touch, close control, awareness and incredible striking -and volley technique.

I don't see it either. RVP had a very distinctive style. This kid looks impressive though.

I don't even care that his finishing isn't up to par yet. Put him on the wing for his pace alone.

Can anyone confirm if this kid is eligible for a work permit in anyway?
Or is this another of our 3 years in europe project?

I should have an Italian passport so no need for a work permit.

More on how we signed him.

Lets be careful about wishing for pace alone with no end product!! Been there - done that for long enough.

Hopefully he finds his feet in the Prem quickly, he looks decent!

likely won't get many minutes in the PL but for League Cup and FA Cup games, can he play wide to support Nketiah? or is he also a #9?
