Martinelli has the potential for superstardom... Ronaldo levels.
Whether he does it or not is a different question and I hope his injuries do not persist.

Is anyone else worried he won’t be the same after this injury?

I heard that this type of knee injury that kept him out for longer is way better than another variant of it which would’ve kept him out for a shorter period

Tbh, I am.

But let's hope for the best.

Arteta didn't use him before that injury. I remember Willock came on against Brighton over Martinelli when we needed a goal. That's concerning. I hope it was nothing. From what I've seen so far, Arteta prefers workhorses. Perhaps it might be a consequence of the type of players we have.

Wait, he hasn't been registered for the EL?

Unless his injury keeps him out until the end of the season, it doesn't make sense to exclude him, whilst including 5 GKs.

That's if we get in to the knockouts.

We need to cut one more guy to register him, that won't be too easy.

He could do with a half season loan. Arteta was choosing Nketiah over him anyway.

Seems only fair to loan out Nelson and Willock. When Martinelli does coming back in 2021

Martinelli won't be fit for the group stages so it made no sense to include him over any other player who is fit. I imagine we'll make room for the knockout stage.

Martinelli is going to leave the moment Mikel goes willy-nilly with him.

I don't think sending him on loan for 6 months is necessary. If he gains match fitness by February, we might still be in the FA Cup and the EL. If he's re-registered in the EL, it would be a good avenue for him to get minutes.

He could always come off the bench in the League, or start if Auba plays up front.

That said, I see where you're coming from. Before his injury, Mikel seemed to prefer Willock and Nketiah over him.
