I don't think he is like any one player we have had - although I would say his all-action style is most remeniscent of Sanchez but he doesn't have the world class ability yet.

Jep. He reminds me of Aguero/Sanchez type of player. So excited

Inb4 those Madrid offers 50m in the summer and he is off

A little bit like Luis Suarez as well but combined with a different kind of hunger. One that doesn’t involve biting other people.

Just love seeing him play. Has no trouble to run at players, is dangerous on and off the ball, works his socks off (sometimes to his detriment), and plays directly unlike most of our players who are happy to just pass it sideways if an obvious option forward doesn't present itself.

He's a top prospect, the only thing that can stop him are injuries. Which it pains me to admit I think he'll have his fair share of, due to his style of play.

Not sure why he wasn't brought on earlier as the game was done and dusted, would have made sense to take saka off and rest him especially considering he was injured against Sheffield United. Even though he only got 15 minutes though he still showed what he can do with that run, so direct and left their full back for dead, if he was playing regularly he would put the finish away imo.

He's also an excellent header of the ball.
Kid has it all.
We must not hold him back next year - if he stays.

So how do you play Martinelli?

1. Left off Laca
Laca drops off as a 10 and allows Martinelli to overlap and cut.

2. Left off Auba
Martinelli drifts in from a wider starting position pulling the opposition RB and CB away giving Auba more space.

3. Center forward with Auba to the left
Replaces Laca and forms part of a direct attacking duo with Auba overloading CBs like Drogba and Anelka.

4. Right winger
Theo type of position. Direct and fast coming in between the LB and CB.

Easy number 1.

Lacazette is our best CF atm and brings other into play, Saka plays better on the right and Martinelli is best on the left simple really, the two of them can interchange during games also
