He’s more of a threat than Pepe.

He’s more of a threat than Martinelli as well. Should be starting most games tbf

We do need to ensure ESR plays.
Should be one of the first names on the team sheet.

I rate Lacazette but Pepe deserves a game and Lacazette isnt in the bestest of forms

I'd at least like to see what Pepe can do centrally.

He’s been seen in training as a number nine. Not sure it’s going to work. He seems more of an inside forward.

They've been running this report about his training for months. I doubt we'll see it.

Arsenal's 20-year-old Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli has said that he wants to stay for the Gunners his "whole life" and is determined to help them reach the Champions League. (ESPN Brasil - in Portuguese)

Good to see him end his goal drought. Need all the wide players to getting into scoring form if we want to clinch top 4.

Crap, I hope he doesn't, he won't look good going for goal on a zimmer frame.

I don't think he'll be too bothered about his looking good, I get the impression from him that if he was falling from the Zimmer frame and about to break his hip, he'd be ok with that providing he got his head to the ball first and bulleted in a diving header.

Stunning goal today with a bit of help from Arteta.

Stood out as the best player on the pitch yesterday. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a silly money bid from one of the rich clubs at some point.

Would've got assists yesterday if we had a striker playing

Probably should've scored at the end with the shot that went wide

Regardless, excellent performance.

Yup, exactly this. Arteta didn't find a solution to getting Odegaard and ESR in the same team, he just parked it. But we saw immediately what ESR gives you and its something we missed throughout the games he hasn't played - directness from the middle. Don't get me wrong I love Odegaard's game but I love ESR's too, why can't we have a bit of both ?

Man City have Gundogan and Silva, you can liken Silva to Odegaard with his floating around and guile in the pass and ESR with Gundogan with the more direct running and give and go's. It can work and would remove the predictability of us always attacking down the flanks. Both players work back so its not like there wouldn't be midfield cover for Partey
