Signed aubameyang and lacazette with only EL football on offer. Despite the latter originally on the brink of signing for a CL club.

Plus weren’t you also the champion of signing from the second tier to improve and sell for profits so we can sign the top players again?

I am

Clubs offering CL football are also doing the same, how do you think Liverpool got to where they are?

Didn’t they buy coutinho before they were back in CL? Plus I wasn’t saying we can’t do it from the CL but saying that getting what seem like second rate players doesn’t have to be the end of the world, Torreira and Leno are working out fine so far as well. Even with CL money I doubt we’d win any battle for the very best players anyway.

Like I said, obviously I want us back in the CL as it’s the premier competition but, having slagged it for years, turns out the Europa league ain’t that bad.

Want the best for the club and that means CL but id rather win the EL than be destroyed by Bayern/Barca

Our European record is awful so would never knock winning a trophy as other seems to do.

Bet they hated the CWC win

We have a good chance in the EL but Valencia and Chelsea can stop us. I was looking at Valencia’s squad and it’s pretty good. In particular I am looking forward to seeing Guedes. Chelsea is weak but Hazard can turn a game on his own. Even so I feel it’s a decent run in to the trophy.

We had 20 years in the CL and never bought the top players that being in the CL was supposed to attract anyway. So whats the point.

We are big enough a club to attract all but the very best anyway.

I think we'll need 10 points from the remaining three games if we want to finish in the top four.

I don't think even Barcelona could get 10 points out of 3 games.
Wembley:
Community Shield @6-8-'23 = 1*-1 Manchester City

Emirates Stadium:
First game @10-9-'11 = 1 - 0 Swansea
Most memorable game @24-2-'22 = 2 - 1 Wolves
Last game @14-04-'24 = 0 - 2 Aston Villa
Next game @4-05-'24 = VS Bournemouth [ No ticket yet ]

It appears as if we'll need every penny we can get, so if getting to the CL means more money then that's what we need.

Our biggest game of the season in terms of top 4 is one we aren't involved in.

Man Utd v Chelsea
