For comparisons sake, despite losing 2 in this scenario we would finish the season on 79 points, our tied highest points tally since 2008.

Winning 7/8 in our remaining fixtures would better anything we've achieved since the invincibles.

That scenario has us finish on 76 points and probably would not be enough for top 4.

It's generally been a happy hunting ground for us we have won on 6 of our last 10 visits
It's been a bit of a bogey for Chelsea who have lost on 6 of there last 10 visits

It's weird. People keep bringing up Wenger comparisons to sarri and I keep ignoring it, but this loss is exactly the sort of shite we would have done in a previous life.

Alonso's challenge looked like he wanted to get caught being a c***. He did it right in front of the ref ffs.

We'd have done it when the title was on the line. Not when top-4 was at stake.

In 13/14 Everton beat us 3-0
That result took us a point in front of Everton who had a game in hand with 6 games to go
We won the next 5
Everton won 3 of the 6 to finish 7 points behind us

Bless Everton. Gave us a little more breathing room for getting back into the top 4.

Indeed....and we are going to need every bit of breathing space available to finish in a CL spot. Manures result against Wolves and Chelski’s against Everton show we can take nothing for granted.
