It'll be hard to get to the semis with so many tough potential matchups: Valencia, Napoli, Leverkusen, Chelsea all still in it.

Last year I believed we were capable of beating anybody except Atletico. This year I'm not as confident. So many weaknesses in the squad. Our starting CB is a 34yo who we rushed back from injury and he's just been injured again.

I'd say they're all beatable but as has been said, our forced out of form best players and relying on trash has given us no form.

Unless we can get some momentum in our next run of Prem games then I won't be hopeful at all.

I'd rather be in the latter stages of a competition we can win than be cannon fodder for the Bayerns and Barcas of the world.

We have not been good enough to face R16 competition for a decade even with some very good players. And seeing as how EL winners are usually CL caliber teams anyway (Atletico, Sevilla), who cares if we are not beating Juve or somebody if we lift the trophy?
