We'll get 2 of those at the most, not sure why your pumping 5 players like that would ever happen?

Get your head out of your arse.

Martinelli and Saliba are done. Ceballos close. That's 3.

Wake up buttercup.

Martinelli is 18 ffs, he isn't a senior player, he won't be in the first team, so is Saliba.

So am i happy with that ........ no I'm not, I'm only concerned with players who will be first team.

............ also Saliba isn't official yet.

You're getting very worked up over nothing ...

I asked if people would be happy if we signed those 5 players - A very simple question, no need to over analyse it.

You responded saying we'll get 2 at most.

... We've already got 1, Saliba is just to be announced (2), and Ceballos should go through (3).

Perhaps the head out of arse comment should be re-directed :)

I'm not worked up ........... another thing your wrong about.

Tierney - yes, we desperately need pace and guile at left back and tierney fits the bill provided his injury issues are resolved. If not, someone of this ability and age or above is a red line imo.

Ceballos - yes ish. Top quality player, but hes not ours. We start again next summer when he leaves because we cant afford to buy him or he just hasn't done the business on loan.

Saliba - no. Will have no impact for this season in a position we are desperate to strengthen. Yes for the future, however there is no guarantee he will make it big.

Martinelli - same as saliba. Maybe we see him 2 or 3 times this season.

Everton Soares - yes. Looks a good alternative to zaha as we need that type of fearless dribbler with proper pace to beat most. Question Mark's over how quickly he can adapt.

starting CB - like cyn, if we dont bolster this position with an actual starter, I will see this window as a failure because we lose kos, keep mustafi and inevitably that will mean dropped points. Big concern that we haven't been linked to anyone, especially in this more media friendly regime.

Agree on the CB point - interesting to see if we make moves for anyone.

Good news regarding Saliba but we still need to invest heavily into starters for next season. Lots of work to be done.

Well hopefully Holding turns into a solid CB ASAP, or we're going to be Mustafied all season.

I’m more comfortable with Holding/Chambers as a centre half if we get Tierney

I was a big fan of him before his move to city and then I saw him under pressure and cooled a bit.

Having said that, he may have suffered from the ill effects of being flanked by 2 not so rapid FBs at the time (older Sagna and zabaleta iirc) which may have just left him exposed constantly.

I'm sure there must be other under the radar CBs that they can go for

Not so sure about chambers tbh. I always thought he was hella silky on the ball but it was clear how inexperienced he was back then.

Didnt really watch him at Fulham so not sure how hes developed, but if he can show the same level of consistency that holding did pre injury

20 days to go. Signings so far are a Brazilian kid who’s more academy than first team. Departures, nil.

pretty sure it was an ESL thing...I took it to mean that we are pursuing players who are expensive, and are trying to figure out a way to bring the price down to make the deal.

Expensive is relative. the Saliba deal is apparently €40m with add-ons for an 18yo from a shit Ligue 1 team. in my book that's expensive. Tierney at £25m upfront less so, but considering he's an SPL player, that's steep too.

I actually think getting SPL players is not a bad shout. Their football is the same as ours, fast and physical. Should be able to hit the ground running.

We don't have budget for a top CB, I am happy with
1)Sokratis+Holding
2)Chambers+Medley

We indeed need fast, big and determine CM. Instead of skills. Nzonzi+Torreira+Iwobi good for me
