If the news about Mislintat's departure are true (and I certainly hope they're not), the club seems to be in absolute disarray. If the person capable of unearthing gems on a limited budget is leaving the club, what likelihood is there that we'll pull ourselves out of this financial crisis?

We are not in any financial crisis.

It's not a financial crisis, it's the same as it's ever been, we've just pissed transfer returns away by not selling our best players and allowing them on a free.

The gamble was to get back into the CL to fix that problem with a new manager but only summer investment to paper over the cracks isn't doing it.

Well be in a financial crisis when the ST list disappears and there's no more guaranteed ticket income to rely on.

That's not happened yet and won't until a good few seasons outside top 4.

Long story short we need an owner that's willing to invest the maximum private finance allowed but that relies on kronke leaving.

Define it or call it whatever you want, but when one of the richest clubs in the world can't buy players then there is some kind of crisis going on.

Johan Djourou, Denilson, Andrei Arshavin, Andre Santos, Marouane Chamakh, Sebastian Squillaci, Gervinho, Nicklas Bendtner, Lukas Fabianski, Bacary Sagna, Lukas Podolski, Serge Gnabry, Tomas Rosicky, Abou Diaby, Kieran Gibbs, Gabriel Paulista, Wojciech Szczesny, Francis Coquelin, Oliver Giroud, Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere, Lucas Perez, Joel Campbell, Mathieu Debuchy and Jeff Reine-Adelaide.

Grand total of transfer fees: £77m

That is an astoundingly low number for 25 players. We're talking about a club who take pride in self-sufficiency and not spending above their means. It's unacceptable when you think about it.

Rotten management sir, mismanagement, Wenger's legacy allowed him to get away with it. Should have gotten that amount from selling Arshavin, Sagna and Podolski.

We sold Podolski for an initial fee or £1.8m and received £2.1m for three seasons after. Since we let Sagna and Arshavin go for free, we made a total of £8.1m on those three players. That's disgraceful.

As with Ramsey, it's due to us letting players run down their contracts.

If a player is on a five year contract and on 80k a week, we should be giving them a new contract every year, and add £10k to £15k each time.

We could have sold Ramsey for £50m. He is better than Sigurdsson, who went to Everton for a similar amount.

We should be more prudent with our contract negotiations in the future. If a valuable player doesn't want to stay at the club, there's no point keeping him. Letting him run down his contract is the worst possible move for all parties involved.

For a club in a so called financial crisis we've still managed to invest (net spend) more on new players in the last five years than all but City, Utd and Chelsea ... we've even outspent Liverpool ....

The Sagna saga was especially damaging because he was replaced with £10m Debuchy who didnt even play half a season before he went into a long term injury. 4 years later, after barely playing, he left on a free.

Meanwhile, Sagna was let go because he wanted a 3 yr contract at 130k pw. A f***ing bargain considering what we ultimately ended up spending.
