There is no quick fix the club needs overhauling from its academy upwards.the soft underbelly and comfortable slippers our whole franchise has been able to slip into started with AW non questioned club reign, and being allowed too much power,
We are here now first thing would be get rid of Bould and bring in Bergkamp to the academy
Sack the coach
Bring in a huge player as captain some one the academy, players alike look up too a proven captain with winning credentials pay moonbeams for him
Make sure there is a guaranteed transfer budget each season make this a bottom line figure with negotiated funds in relation to performance and player progression from academy.
Make a path way for success for players and coaching staff, no more turning out professionals turn out champions from the academy quality rather than quantity

Load of nonsense. Were it that easy United would have done it five years ago.

Read between the lines sunshine, 5 years on man utd are still trying to get it right, it's taken klopp years to turn pool into what they have become
It is going to take a f***ing big broom too clear this mess and it starts with attitudes and winning mentality and that is best placed at the bottom so it can work through the entire club and continue too.
Every man and their dog can see Emery is not the right man
But it may be years to turn the soft bellied attitudes around,
It's probably fair to say you see more attitude from Teirney and Martinelli than anyone else that have been at this club for anytime,

Gtfo. We don’t need any clean sweep. The academy is producing good players. Saka, Willock, Nketiah will all be top flight players at Arsenal or elsewhere. The scouts are doing the job with Martinelli, Guendozi, Saliba etc. The only screw up is a manager that has no style of play and has lost the dressing room. Wenger with this squad would be cruising to top four in this pathetic league season.

Just like he did the year leicester won the title when he threw it away.
Thing is yes we have talent but where is the defensive talent, it's a solid defence that wins championships, all of our young players need work when it comes to not having the ball, it's obvious this is not something new as the whole squad has progressively gotten worse in this area for years.and I could be wrong but the academies normally train with an eye to pathway to top team, so they are learning these habits somewhere
And the clean sweep refers to coaching and back room staff it needs to be more hard lined not a f***ing holiday program where everyone gets an attendance certificate

Agreed with a lot of that.

At least a few of us see the shitstorm is brewing. Emery will leave soon, whatever because no manager will sort this midfield out unless we get some serious player in January to bail us out. This will be the peak of the meltdown, when people truly realize how bad this team is even when we get a new manager in.

The problem you face as i have is trying to get people here to see just how limited many of our players are, especially our midfielders. Some people still seem to think Ozil can dribble and actually move on the ball at pace and produce anything other than just pass, guys like Torreria, Matteo, Pepe are Santi, Rosicky, Ramsey level. This is what happens when we forget how spoiled we have been over the last 25 years since we finished below 6th. Even in Wengers worst years at the end, the worst he got was 6th! Most fans don't understand what true shit is, we only experienced dross in parts, never an entire midfield who are all sub par like now! The truth is we have maybe the 8-10 best midfield in just the league at best, if even that.

Fans are really not ready for us becoming even worse than what United are now. That's the big issue i'm focused all on, getting rid of the bad eggs and somehow telling this board to f**k right off. Under Kronke the only way is down, down and down, its been a very slow but steady decline but with the team we have there is a waterfall coming up.

We need people who care for the club now more than ever to start again with us. Maybe no European football next year will at least like it did for Chelsea give a new manager a possible chance for a complete miracle and with no European distraction we could do something big, IF, we get the right or perfect manager in with a good budget. Sadly I can already see that next years budget may depend all on how much we get for Aubameyang from Real Madrid :( knowing this club under Kronke!

Real isn't going for him. Auba wouldn't get a game over Benzema. And he isn't getting PT out wide over Hazard, Rodrygo, or Bale.

Load of crap. Leicester lost only four games in their title run, two of which were to us. We finished second that season. We are currently struggling for top four in the weakest league season ever.
You’re simply throwing out lame hyperbole about backroom staff and what not. Like you have any fcking idea what our backroom staff actually do. Comment on what you can see which is a team that doesn’t fight for the manager and lousy tactics.

I have no idea where he will go, I did honestly pull real out of my ass because that's he last club hes been linked with. But be prepared if he even goes to City, Chelsea, Juventus, Barca even. With f**k all investment AW would have won the title that year but blew it.
If you dont understand that the coaching staff operates under the head coach/managers advice then more fool you.the directors and coaching staff set a directive it's the head coaches job to achieve those directives, various things he relies on other medical or physical help, but the club football philosophy is down to him
The team was lost in the end under AW it happens,
Agree that Emery has lost the dressing room, the stadium and soon hopefully the boardroom,
But pretending this is a fast fix is pure more negligence.
Chelsea have a rumored 150m to spend january so any gap in that squad will be bolstered.
Weakest league season ever you say well I wouldnt call liverpool weak.
Now interesting enough watch the fox's interview he has just done after liverpool's last match, listen to what he says about performance and where he needs to get to you would never had heard that under AW or Emery, the kid is now being managed,
AW had it in the early years but his ego got the better of him imo

Nah, it's kosher. Real has Benzema, Jovic (who isn't better than Auba but has time on his side), and Mbappe is supposed to come sometime in the next couple summers. Perez isn't going to blow £70m on a 31-year-old striker to use him as a backup for a season before spending £200m or whatever on Mbappe a season later.

But I agree with you. I think he'll push for a move if we don't get CL next season.

I think Inter could work. Conte usually plays with two strikers, and a rotation of Auba, Lukaku, and Martinez is really solid.

Atleti with Simeone would work too.

Juve maybe. Ronaldo isn't getting any younger, and Sarri could have fun with Ronaldo/Auba/Higuain/Dybala. But Juve might want to get younger and could go for Haaland instead.

I don't think he fits Barca since he's not technically good enough.

City for the same reason as Barcelona.

Chelsea might just stick with Abraham as their primary striker.

Bayern no. Lewa is their cemented starter.

PSG no. They have Icardi (think they'll buy him after this season) and Mbappe.

Liverpool no. Firmino is the perfect striker for Klopp's system.

On second thought, Auba may have no choice but to stay because there aren't many top clubs that would have a use for him as the main striker.

I think Laca is the more likely of the two to move.

If, if. If. Fact of the matter is that Wenger blew two gilt edged title chances in his last 5 years. I don't blame Giroud for his 15 game dry streak in 2016 for the same reason that I don't blame Xhaka for his performances. They didn't pick themselves, the manager put their names on the lineups week after week.

Even if we had a better striker than Giroud, it wouldn't have saved us from the sort of abysmal defending that led us to continually drop points. Remember when West Ham came back from 2-0 down to tie 3-3 in April 2016? Andy Carroll scored 3 of his 7 career West Ham goals in that game.

These were the years where the Fergie power vaccuum hadn't yet been filled by Pep and Klopp and their ungodly spending. We won't get that chance again for a long time.

Auba likes fashion so Milan will suit him best out of the lot.

Inter will go for him and look to try and seriously test Juventus. Martinez seems like a dynamic player who can be used in a number of different roles in attack. Using both Auba and Lukaku to lead the line alongside him could be a real statement for their squad. Lukaku is very good but he's not good enough alone to win big things.

Spot on with this!!

Bayern sack Kovac after 18 months, the blueprint of a successfully run club. If they can do it why can't we?!! Sack this muppet Emery immediately.

Almost as if performances do actually matter

That's not the point though, you still can't fire a manager if your 3rd in the league ffs.

Imagine being 3rd, swapping the manager then slipping to 6th, who would the fans blame then?

Now he's slipped out into 5th / 6th is the perfect time to do it.

I don't think the conversations was about him being fired. It was a struggle just for people to acknowledge how poorly we were playing and we were lucky to be third.

Oh I was absolutely calling for him to get fired then. I even compiled a small list of managers getting fired or having their contract not renewed despite achieving more than Emery has, such as winning the PL/La Liga or the CL, or being runners-up in the league or CL.

The problem with a large portion of Arsenal's fan base is they claim to be patient and wait to see what happens. But on the other side, we see that as completely reactionary and would like to see the club actually be proactive for a change and fix things before they start to spiral out of control (like what is happening now). We've been saying for the better part of a year this was going to happen but kept getting shouted down by the "rational" fans for being Mystic Megs.

I hear you. I would have preferred to have seen him gone in the summer but knew it was unlikely. There is a conversation to be had about when is the right time to sack a manager if failing and what steps the club should take for the next appointment but before the poor run that wasn't really part of the conversation. Some were still convinced Emery was the right man for the job and his weak areas were being overlooked and posters ridiculed like you have said.
