Would be interested to see the stats tbh, think we play a lot more long balls now.

Up to Auba mostly and out to the advanced full backs from the other side of the pitch. Plus if you compare to anything other than Wenger's last 2-3 years then this football is dog.

Wengers last 28 games of 14/15 pre dog?
We scored 57 goals
Under emery we have scored 58
The problem remains a defence that was criminally neglected for those 7 years before we became( your word ) dog
This emery should turn round in 4 months?

Emery Out

Postby mel4 » Sun Sep 15, 2019 6:50 pm

I have seen enough of Emery to know that he will not take this team to a top 3 position in the league. Scratch that, even top 4 seems like a big ask for this pretender.

- There seems to be no clarity or sense on direction of how we want to play. The only clarity so far, is that he wants to play from the back. This same tactic has led us to conceding very cheap goals and laughable but painful clownish errors

- How long does it take a coach to figure out his first 11? He came on and deceived everyone with making changes at 1st half to get some wins and draw and people got carried away after the first few games. By the end of the season, he was the coach that had made the most substitutions at/after 1st half. If you understand your team, play to your strength while also nullifying the opponents's game. With Emery, it is one or the other.

- He is a coach that does not inspire any sort of confidence in his team. Pacing about on the sidelines, chewing your jaw or whatever he does, or his occasional GIF-worthy moments do not show any such inspiration. Wrong team sheets game after game, wrong substitutions, wrong choice of captain, wrong tactics, etc etc

Sack him now and save us all the trouble.

Maybe Emery will go on to take us to top 4 or at best Euro cup if there no other top 6 team in europe remaining in the competition, but that is the best ceiling he can ever achieve with us. He needs to go now.

........ 1 - nil to The Arsenal

You call being beaten by the best team in Europe 3-1 a disaster? We had our chances in that game, if the strikers had put away the chances they had we could have got a result.

You surely are slow, aren't you?

In fact, we got annihilated by Liverpool two days after I locked this thread.

I'd really suggest looking around, being more cognizant, and getting into the grip of things before acting like you do.

Really.

It will be helpful.

You being you - you probably still won't get what I'm alluding to.

Curious as to what you would consider as getting raped then?

They absolutely owned us in the second half. We looked like a bottom feeder against them after the half. Classes apart.

If we are going to bemoan our missed chances, well Liverpool missed their chances too (a couple in first half alone when our players gave away cheap balls near our own goal) , or it could have easily been a 4-5 goal difference.

We'd be down already with Arteta as manager.
