Nothing to worry about

He will start the next game

Competition is healthy

Now it's up to Martinelli to fight to get his place back

Both will get plenty of game time anyway

That should be the answer, rotate them starting, keep both happy.

Martinelli's pace is also effective coming on later when the FB is tired.

Martinelli isn't going to gain confidence, sitting on the bench. He's got to give hime time on the pitch, or he'll just get worse, but clearly this can only continue for so long with Tross banging them in.

Absolutely disagree

Play the players who are in form and make hay while the sun shines,
Take nellie out of the lime light and give him the cameo job where it's easier to have good moments and the stand out more in a shorter space of pitch time.playing 90mins in a cauldron when your struggling for some makes them worse.
Want to win the league you have to play your in form 11

It isn't obvious to me that Trossard should bench Martinelli.

Yes, Martinelli's output isn't ideal but kind of like Havertz, he helps us in ways that are less obvious. I just think he gives us stability and we find it easier to control games with Martinelli playing. I don't have stats or anything tangible to add but it's my suspicion Trossard is more of a double-edged sword. Yes, he's a lot more lethal in the final third but the team is less of a unit with him in it and there are certain tiny cracks that can be exploited that aren't as obvious when Martinelli starts.

It's only Arsenal who would get an offer from a Saudi club for rubbish money.

City would be getting a bid of £100m.

Less than what Palace bid for Eddie.

I have a bad feeling that Trossard could be sold soon though. You know Arteta didn't like his reaction after scoring against Villa, and Sterling primarily plays on the left.

Transfer window is closed for us, can’t be selling our best finisher without a way of getting a replacement in

£30m? i guess it's more than what we paid for him. but then no way we should sell him.

We paid a cut-price fee because his agent was shopping him around, he wasn't going to play again under De Zerbi. At Arsenal he's a key part of our attack, and has already provided almost as many G+A for Arsenal in 1.5 seasons as he did for Brighton.

Elite football is tough. Trossard has just been better lately. Nobody is saying Martinelli is shit but then those are the breaks. Every player is subject to being dropped. Martinelli himself benefitted from ESR's injuries.
