Am I the only one on here that thinks Pepe is not fit,
Started today well as did the whole team but halfway through the first half he looked like he was done physically,

I am having a change of heart about this guy. I never thought he was a good buy. But increasingly I find that he makes things happen. He causes movement in the box and that shakes us out of our static style of play. I’d like to see more of him.

I have always liked Pepe but i need more, I need to see more of the good stuff, he doesn't do enough but has the potential and skill to be far more productive!!!

I need more output

Not a tidy performance but contributed to both goals.

I would like to see him just go at defenders more.
He holds the ball too long doing carnival tricks too often.
Just go at the defender. When he does he looks dangerous.
I would not mind him losing the ball of he is attempting something, but frustrating as hell when he just 'fiddles' with the ball and passes back or losses it.

He’s best coming off the diagonal. I’d tell him to stay wide and wait for the opposition full back to get forward. Occupy the space left by the FB and then get Pepe the ball. Let him burst diagonally into the box or let off a curler into the far corner. Robben made a fine career doing just that.

I agree.
Honestly, he should just go at the defender and try and beat him every time he has it.
If he did it 15 times a match and lost it 13 times that would be perfectly ok.

I like him. Like Jay says, go at your man. Constantly. If he fails the majority then fine, but those times he gets passed it forces another defender to him so there's a free player, or he gets a shot away and he can be a good finisher

He had 2 or 3 players on him for a lot of last night. Tomiyasu doesn't overlap so he struggled at times offensively. Thought he was really good defensively first half

Wish we could have Willian teleport into the stadium each time we have a corner. Pepe absolutely sucks at taking them.

Saka and ESR are more like two number tens with goals in them operating behind the striker. But Pepe has a value in that he operates further up the park and wider and can bring more goals to the table. We should be operating with two strikers and two CAMs in my opinion. That’s what Wenger used to do with RVP + Walcott and Cesc + Nasri. So when Auba is away with Gabon we should play Laca and Pepe.

He finished strong last season and won his way back into the starting line up with some tidy play. But it seems as though he's had a relaspe and having moments where he's overdoing it or a little sloppy. When he came on off the bench yesterday, it reminded me of how he was playing towards the end of last season. Kept it a bit more simple with his passing to help steady things. If he wants to start more he needs to get back to that balance.
