Why - he's sh*t.
His performance against a proper team last week was as bad as it gets.
NO player deserves to keep their place after serving up what he did against Liverpool.

You could have said that about the full team against Liverpool though tbf

I could also say it about most of Pepe's performances this season.
He's not good enough.
A goal against a pub team doesn't change that.

Pepe had 12 minutes against slavia Prague and scored
Hazard didn’t manage it in 127 minutes for Chelsea a couple of seasons ago
They had a 0-0 at Barcelona last season
Fati 25 mins
Griezmann 159 minutes
Dembele 86 minutes didn’t score against them

So?
Pepe has been a failure since he got here.
12 minutes, fresh legs, against a pub team is not going to change that.

Well you decided the nature of the opposition & competition and there is no changing that
But I thought it may be of interest to other Arsenal fans that other sides have drawn with slavia Prague at home and that other high profile players have failed to score against Slavia Prague

Top-level players regularly fail to score against poor opposition.
Not sure what your point is.

We once lost to Wrexham in a cup. Didn't make them a good team.

He's the type of player that should be doing what Aubameyang does - find spaces to run into behind the defense. He's fast enough and usually clinical in front of goal. But he will never be a Hazard/Sterling type that can dribble past multiple defenders and score.

Obviously we can't have two Auba-style players in the same lineup, but Pepe isn't very good carrying out the tasks his current role requires.

He can run in behind space but he can also beat players when focused and do this. Consistency is the problem and I don't think he'll find it under Arteta.

I reckon he has the best G+A per min ratio out of all Gunners this season.

World class, he absolutely isn't. But he's a maverick who'd excel big time playing under a good manager.

Hopefully - he should never start ahead of Saka.
Like Auba - use him as a sub.

He shouldn't be dropped, he has a threat when he plays which all too often we lack. Yes he will have bad games but at least he tends to offer something positive. He needs a steady run of games

Martinelli - Laca - Saka is the best way forward for now.

Use pepe and Auba as impact subs

Agree.
Martinelli - Laca - Saka combination looked the best this year.
Auba looked, for the first time this season, like he could help coming from the bench - at least in terms of effort.
Pepe is too inconsistent to be a starter.

Saka's best position is on the right.
He's been our best player this season.
Why in the world would he be dropped for Pepe?
