Pepe is killing his own confidence by ruining every attack

Zero goals in open play football, and its obvious to see why, every time he gets near the box he panics, he doesn't know what to do, a total headless chicken, he looks scared to death in front of goal. He really does have that headless chicken look about him like Gervinho. He is so erratic.

Trying to stay positive. But today was the first head in hands moment I had with him. Not the shot that hit the bar. The one where he is clean through and tries to pass.

That was so bad. Just shoot ffs. Score or not, it's the right choice.

This adjustment period is exactly why we should’ve just gotten Zaha. He’s not been on it this season but he’s Orem proven and would’ve been in much better spirits if he got the move he wanted.

Also he rapes us everytime

why do we always sign dumb clumsy players? what is it about our selection process that means we always end up with them?

you look at zaha and he's calm and composed. we ended up with bambi.

Zaha has 1 goal and 2 assists so far this season. He's played more minutes than Pepe, he knows the league and knows his manager. The way we're playing, I highly doubt Zaha would make much of a difference.

Pepe will be ok, still young, still early in the season in a new league. Some of you have no patience at all.

He'll flourish under an attacking coach.

i didn't mention stats or goals, i was talking about style of play and being calm and collected on the ball.

also zaha clearly wants out of palace and is down in the dumps about it, i think a move to a big club like us would have meant a completely different zaha this season.

You didn't but you should probably pay close attention. We're playing some of the worst football in the Premier League under Emery. All of our players are struggling for form and confidence. It's delusional to think Zaha will somehow be immune to it when he's hardly tearing it up at Palace.

If a manager keeps switching players around and switching formations it's going to take it's toll on the players confidence. It's not just Pepe suffering. Look around.

pepe has had a chance to shine and he's failed so far. every game ive seen him in i come away thinking 'why the hell did pepe do that?' or 'can this guy not control a simple pass?'. zaha's fundamentals are better and he would have had a bigger impact.

Name a player in this team that's actually playing well under Emery.
