Bale is old, slow and past it and still putting up better numbers than Pepe as a Spurs bench warmer.

Anyways you lot keep telling yourself that Pepe who’s 26 at the end of this month will suddenly become world class, when he’s struggling to keep up with a RM/Spurs bench warmer.

 Fair enough. You keep us posted on Dani Ceballos and when he's world class.

Dani Ceballos- 24 years old
20/21 - 40 games - 0 goals, 3 assists.
19/20 - 37 games - 2 goals, 2 assists.

It's not looking great.

How pathetic changing the subject of the conversation to a player who no longer players for us, doesn’t even play the same position as Pepe, this post reeks of desperation :rofll:

Emi world class after one good month

Pepe shit after a good season

Explain that

This would be a good season for a Newcastle winger but I’m used to high standards like the quality Sanchez, Nasri, Pires etc used to deliver for us

Anyways as for Emi, I’m not gonna have this same old Leno/Emi discussion with you, we talk about this near enough everyday, don’t you get tired of it

Every sane person here knows Emi > Leno and neutral fans will tell you the same

Gareth Bale walks into the Arsenal first team. He is still quality.

Your point makes no sense. The fact that Bale who has had a bit part season has STILL scored 16 goals in 34 games tells you about his quality.

Agree 100% he is still a top drawer player.

But... is he still motivated?

Not quite.
Pepe 6 goals in 902 minutes of EL football.
Nketiah 3 goals in 461 minutes of EL football.
Auba 3 goals in 471 minutes
Laca 3 goals in 403 minutes
Balogun 2 goals in 63 minutes
About the only forward who was not similar - or better - than Pepe's goal rate was Saka with 2 goals in 704 minutes - but he managed 5 assists in those minutes

They all filled their boots in the EL because it's crap.

Pepe did well this year in the end because he scored 10 PL goals - that's good progress from him, but he needs to work on his creativity which was abysmal in the PL.

It's silly because the list of non-strikers to score more than 16 goals this year is quite short.

He would have torn up the Europa Conference. Another reason we should not have missed out.

He would tear up the championship as well but let's not ever aim for that.
We are not in Europe no where to hid this season for players and manager alike,

Pepe's played enough games now that we know what he can do and what he can't. We are stuck with him, so I want him to succeed. But he's never going to be the type of player that takes us to Top 4. Other silverware is still possible.

Are you lot going to admit he’s a flop this season when he has another average year?

Because for the money we paid I wanna see him play a full season on the level of Alexis 16/17, Hazard 14/15, Mahrez 15/16 performances so good people will be saying he’s comfortably the best winger in the league or at least the top 3, if he manages to play a full season anywhere near there levels I will be the first to say I was wrong
