72M was overpaying big time , but then again hes playing well last few games when he got run of games. Hoping this can continue for the future.

Yes, that's our major hope going forward. If he could play at the same level as he is now, we would be planning for CL today.
Most of the season though he looked out of depth especially against big teams.

Finished the season with a flurry.

That's it really.

Let's see how he starts next season.

I know he's never going to be worth the money we spent on him and he's been pretty inconsistent, but this season was undoubtedly a big improvement from the last—he's doubled his goal output both in the league (10 vs. 5) and in all competitions (16 vs. 8). I think Arteta was wrong to demote him from the first team at the start of the season but in fairness, I do think Pepe has upped his game since then and been more worthy of his place.

I think he will adjust to the pace and power of the league and when he does, teams are in worries!!

That touch and finish for the first goal

With his right foot.

Has to play every game.

I like the idea of turning him into a striker, not a CF but a RF or RWF in a front 3.

The reality is he’ll probably play, score and then get dropped, that’s pretty much what happened most of this season.

Sure, people can talk about what we paid for him, but 18 months in, and we still don't know what the starting line-up is. How can any player be expected to smash records or even excel under such circumstances?

Crazy how folks are willing to blame each and every player we have when the manager has been the biggest culprit all season.

He’s certainly shown some absolutely stunning skills and can score great goals. You can see why Arteta has struggled to use him because his defending is comical.

Arteta has struggled to use him because he is a fooking idiot.
