I'd rather buy a world class left winger than a CB in the summer. Go deal with it.

Part of why we struggle defensively is our midfield. We have an awful midfield.

We did better last season than we have this season without a decent winger.

As for signing a winger over a CB, in our position that was ridiculous, we were crying out for a top class CB, yes the midfield needs addressing but a winger doesn't really do that.

Best player in the first half

Arteta half time team talk

Did nothing in the 2nd other than the VAR shocker where he should've got a penalty

Clearly fouled

Yet another trash performance to add to his long run of trash performances.
Also saw him yelling at all the other players every time he messed up - so along with his lack of talent he also has a crap attitude.

Do I really need to drum in the nitty-gritties and dynamics of this season compared to last season? Do you really think that any team can succeed in the Prem without good wingers? Really?

No doubt we need a winger - but we need a top clas sone and sadly, Pepe is not that.
He's one of those players you hope maybe that he'll do something to win a game, but you know it's like ahail mary pass in American football. Not likely to pay dividends.

Note also that on several occassions today he was whining at the young players. We need or want the kind of player Pepe is. It would be much better to cut our losses on him and admit the mistake.

Still hoping he gets better but right now I’m so fed up of this guy. Hope he does something good and/or scores on Tuesday because I’m sick of watching him cutback inside to do f**k all.

Needs to find a right foot he will become far too easy to defend if he doesn't,
Had a decent game today 1st half, and if he was playing for Liverpool would have had a penalty.

I actually think he needs to play on the left, playing on the right he plays to narrow wanting to come inside onto his natural left foot, he is too predictable and to easy to defend , before long defenders will just show him the side line with no right foot he has nothing to give, at least on the left he could get to the byline for crosses

Took on more players yesterday. He can beat a man but so could Gervinho. The parallels are uncanny.

It funny how we used to have wingers like Podolski and Walcott who can't dribble but contribute goals and assists and now we have Nelson and Pepe who are good dribblers but poor in the final third
