Emery logic
Buy the player and dont support his playstyle
When the player starts getting confidence then drop him and play him in EL and dont play at Home when we need a goal
This f***er emery just boils my blood.

Bellerin was poor on attack and defence and Aubameyang was having to do too much work down that side from deep. That game would have suited Pepe more and the manager should have just stuck to a 4-2-3-1.

Pepe has had a chance and hasn't performed.
His place is on the bench at best.

You'd continue to play that same set up? Who or what is the better alternative?

I thought that we looked much better against Leicester.
Take out the utterly woeful defending of Bellerin and Holding and the woeful play of Lacazette amd we may even have got a result.
We weren't good by any stretch, but it's the best set up we have - replace Lacazette with Martinelli, Holding with Sokratis and Bellerin with Chambers.
Pepe doesn't look like he is ready for top level football and won't add anything.

Our best performances in the Premier league was the Burnley game. We were woeful yesterday and could barely string together a pass. We only looked dangerous on the counter but in terms of control, organisations and defending, we were still poor.
Neither of our wingbacks were getting forward, Lacazette and Aubameyang were tracking their fullbacks deep into our own half and far too wide, Holding and Chambers were passing the ball backwards to the keeper a lot instead of forwards...

swipe right wrote:Fundamentally there is nothing wrong if you play 3 at the back. Since we don’t have wingers, it allows our wingbacks to bomb forward and stretch defenses, it gives more creative freedom to the midfield because they don’t have to worry too much about possession. More and more I am inclined to a 352.
BUT...it does require your CBs to be very quick, read the game excellently and be drilled in that system. You can’t keep switching from two CBs to three CBs in a contingency and expect it to work like we are.

Emery is killing Arsenal game by game, and the board continue to allow him too
