Exactly is was a horrendous miss - the worst of the game, the rest of which he spent giving the ball away or going backwards.

He should have started today over Saka. Much more direct when it comes to attacking, and probably would have converted at one of the many chances we created in the first half.

Better chance of selling your car for 30-40m :rofll:

We got more than 30 mil for Ox and Iwobi and I recon Pepe is ahead of where they were when we sold them. Even without the English premium that the other two have, we should get 30+ for him.

Na Oxlade was clear, versatile monster only thing that held him back was injuries, Klopp doesn’t just spend big on any random players

If by versatile monster you mean average at best at everything, I agree with you. Daylight robbery the money we got for him

Might sound crazy but I'd consider putting him up front as striker with Laca out and Auba probably not yet ready.

Its either Pepe or Nketiah ........... I know who I'd choose.

Pepe flanked by Saka and Martinelli with ESR in behind, isn't that bad considering Pepe's good Left foot shooting and close ball control, he'd probably play more like a False no9.

It does sound a little crazy.
That miss today was so bad I don;t think I would be that confident with Pepe at CF. Also he'd get smashed by CBs.
He absolutely would have to play deep, leaving no one really in the middle.

If Laca is out the the order of the options IMO are

Martinelli - with Pepe and Saka wide.
Nketiah - with Martinelli and Saka wide
Pepe - with Martinelli and Saka wide
Balogun - with Martinelli and Saka wide

He headed on target, it wasn't a bad miss rather than a good save, also Pepe's strength is in his shooting and he'd be running at CB's, the guy takes on 2-3 players as it is.

........... either that or Martinelli up front, or play a front LF & RF.

It was a terrible header DG. It was one of the easiest chances you could wish for, but he glanced it with little power. There should never have been a hope in hell of the defenders of GK getting anywhere near it.

I think it should probably be Martinelli up front if Laca is out.

Pepe's shooting is better than Martinelli's at this point in time.

But there's no point in discussing it until we see what Arteta is going to do.

He may just rush Auba back or play Nketiah then this convo is for naught.

I'd agree there.
Martinelli looks rusty in his finishing - can't train taking chances in an actual game.

I know Lille played him there on occasions but I'd probably move Martinelli to play a CF if I had a choice but Pepe isn't a bad shout either if out of options.
