Wouldn't they have to make an exception from the Gov't for this? otherwise FIFA would kick right off? you can't host pro football games and ban players based on nationality.

FIFA could ban Azerbaijan teams altogether based on that?

Anyway these longer trip games are not a problem for AFC, we could easily leave most of the 1st team at home.
We could just take the B-Team and beat Qarabag, shouldn't be an issue.

Elneny, AMN, Welbeck, Iwobi, Lich, Mavaropanos, Holding, Ozil ( :hiding: ) if he's not being started over Ramsey, Xhaka or Guendouzi as well unless he's still not starting Torreia then he could go as well, Nketia.

We'll have more than enough to nail the Ukrainian team and Qarabag, only Lisbon I'd bring a few 1st teamers.

Why leave the first team at home?

This is the trophy we should be going for

If UEFA/FIFA don't take action by either relocating the final, or by ensuring Mkhitaryan can safely and legally enter Azerbaijan, they are directly guilty of supporting Armenophobia.

Because Qarabag and the Ukrainian team no one has heard of doesn't need the first team to beat them.

Welbeck and co should be able to deal with them easily, remember we didn't play our first team last year in the Europa until we got to the semi's.

I'd bring the first team possible to Lisbon, we have a squad though so we need to use it, why would we risk PEA or Ozil against Qarabag ffs?

What if you’re a gay woman who works in construction and attends political rallies on the weekends? Then you’re really screwed.

Very good draw. We should be able to play the B team and take 18 points easily.

I think we should definitely make sure we get an exception for the final. Mkhitaryan did get an exception last time out for Dortmund, but they elected to leave him go.

We would be wise to do the same in the group stages.

We should solve this in the group game so the final isn't overshadowed by all this.

Yes, by getting a Visa, and then not taking him there.

How can they be hypocrites if xenophobia and racism are two different things? :hiding:

In all seriousness though, surely this won't be a problem? There's no way UEFA tells us we can't bring Mkhi.

Right?

UEFA isn't doing it, it's the Azerbaijan government. But I reckon he has a Russian passport so it won't be a problem (just like the whole having 2 passports to visit Israel and the arab states).
