Is it though?

Sounds good initially, or does that mean we aren't consistent enough and we're scrambling and coming up with goals that probably won't be like that all season?

Cause we're winning, but we haven't really played that well, or dominated.

Only Aguero and Mitrovic have scored more non-penalty goals than Auba and Lacazette so far this season. Auba also has an assist while Laca has 2.

Bizarrely, despite playing so well we actually didn't create that much more than usual today. 9 shots with a total xG of 1.14 (which might get revised though) shows that we were just very clinical today, but of course being clinical is an important part of any title chase.

Tables starting to shape up nicely.

Fantastic goal return by Welbz relative to the limited time he has played.

Danny Welbeck with 5 goals in about as many minutes yet gonna be let go for free at the end of the season :dontknow:

Still don't get how he's not rated as a squad player.

He's humbled me tbh this season, he's really done well even if he still is limited.

I'm still fine with him however, as we need the sort of squad player in the vein of Bernardo Silva as oppose to the welbecks of this world. Our striker situation where no one is guaranteed a start should be the same problem over the pitch but with pure class stepping up.

Welbeck will never fit that bill for me..

City have Delph and Danilo as backup FB's, you can't have a world class backup in every position. Bernardo and Jesus are pretty much their only inSANE backups (so 3).

Not saying they don't have a ridic squad but it's mostly across the front 3 they are stacked.
