Yeh but we're the 3rd best club in English football and yet again, we're being short changed by the people who are supposed to make sure we're properly prepared to begin the season. We can gripe, especially after 10 odd years of putting up with this shit when Wenger was here. He obviously wasnt fully to blame now for the mess, looking at how this window has gone on deadline day.

Thats true actually, well its been true since january last season, after David Dien left he was in charge of it (our worst years under his guidance).

Worth keeping in mind that auba was probably supposed to be a summer signing so we would have been at 110m btw.

That would have made this window 10/10 imo

3rd most domestically sucsessful over the past 100 years, but finished outside the top 4 last 2 seasons so not third best currently.

However yeh, Kroenke is a tight ass hole, but then so was Hillwood etc, when Utd and Newcastle and Blackburn were buying success we were getting guys like CHris f***ing Kiwomya and Glenn Helder.

Yeh thats what I meant, domestically we are 3rd best. We still have a huge amount of money and the fans are being made to look like mugs when they want us to believe 60m is all we have. They can f**k off. I just want a proper owner for once. Look at Tony Khan for Fulham, most of their promotion money has gone straight on signings so they can stay in the division and even get a top half finish maybe? If that was us we probably only make 20 percent of that available for our budget.

Its actually not true because Wenger was the Manager and made the decisions on transfers.

Misinslat was only here because Wenger reluctantly allowed it when the club told him they were preparing for his departure, Director of Football "Directs traffic" remember.

Wenger would of left regardless if they tried to push Misinslat on him before he made his mind up to leave, in fact he left a year early because he couldn't even hack Misinslat making the decisions even though it was for the interim period.

So accurately ......... if Wenger was still here as Coach then yes its true, same players, but Wenger wouldn't be here as just the Coach.

I always used to think we dont splash the cash, but we will never be in debt, like if most big teams investors pulled out, notable City, Liverpool and Chelsea, they would do a Leeds United, but now Stan Kroenke is taking out loans in the clubs name and we are not having any sucess, it does not look good for us in the long run.

Our best years were the Dein/Wenger years tho, literally as Dein left, we stopped winning things and had to put up with tons of these obscure youngsters every summer.

So i was all for the Sven/Wenger set up, its a shame Emery can only really make suggestions and not be to involved with transfers.

I think if he was we would have ended up with Banega, Rico, N'Zonzi.

Needed a fresh start
→ brought in a dynamic, ardent figure in Unai

Needed a feisty, mobile DM
→ signed Torreira - one of the best young players in his position

Needed a GK
→ brought in Leno, a talented keeper who needed a fresh challenge in order to grow/become more consistent

Needed a CB
→ signed one of the best center backs in Germany in Sokratis, until everyone decided he's finished because he comes off one disappointing season, just like practically every other Dortmund player not named Aubameyang

Needed more depth at RB
→ brought in the experienced Lichsteiner who will give Bellerín some competition for the first time in years

Further squad overhaul
→ freed up space for new players
→ healthier wage structure

- The signing of young Guendouzi who looks the piece.

- Business done early.

One major disappointment is that we were not granted the financial resources to bring in an elite wide player.

7/10.

Got our business done early. Happy with our work although I feel CB position feels thin in terms of numbers and quality. Had we brought in a quality CB i would have rated this window 8.5.

Ospina will most likely leave. Welbeck and Jenkinson are not going to get any game time and should have been offloaded. Both of them want to stay in England so i don't think they will leave up until January but somehow if they left it would be great news.

How is CB an issue? We've replaced chambers with sokratis (an improvement imo) and chambers can return if we need him!
